We were first greeted by very well trained and warm front desk staff name Win and his team, they extended their warmth and great hospitality service since the beginning of our trip, they were genuine and friendly and gave their best in everything they do. Rooms were well cleaned and fresh each time we enter back to the room. They were so accommodative and also constantly checking on our comfort throughout the whole retreat stay with them, that makes us want to come back again. Service staff Dian and Nafiah were also very helpful and gave a very lasting and memorable experience through their wonderful personalised service. They gave us attentive service and remember our request, Nafiah is a great example of a professional and great service provider. I wish to extend my appreciation to all of them making our stay so comfortable and delightful. This I was indeed a great retreat.
Absolutely sublime experience. Arrived at 8:30am and then did a mixture of yoga, swimming, sound healing, and sound dome experiences until 8pm. The restaurant in the hotel serves great food as well. I spent a whole week at Bali but unfortunately only 1 day at Udara. Probably the high point of my trip. When I come back I’ll spend a week at Udara. It is close proximity to a few hot spots like Nuanu so it can provide an eventful vacation.
I stayed for a few days and the best part was the variety of classes, the yoga shalas overlooking the ocean, the massages and the food. My favourite classes were vinyasa, yin and sound, aerial yin, myofascial yin and release, qi qong and sounds of surya. The food was flavourful, healthy and there were a lot of options to choose from. I liked trying something different each time, and that the menu wasn’t niche or restrictive. The staff overall were friendly. The rooms have most of the amenities expected from a 4 star hotel but wasn’t as comfortable. It was a bit dark and small. Most of the rooms at the resort face the restaurant and pool area or the yoga shalas, not the ocean, so there was a lack of privacy if you want to sit outside your room or have curtains opened to let natural light come in. There were a lot of people coming in and out of the venue just to take classes and people filming so expectations should be managed if you want a retreat-like experience where you can switch off. It was the most peaceful when it rained as there weren’t as many people coming to take classes. It was super busy during the Sunday festival and more attention on that which made check in overwhelming. I think it would be good for a part of the resort with less foot traffic only accessible for guests staying or some loungers by the beach so there is an area to relax outside of the rooms and can create some community. The location is great if you want to be by the ocean, which is what I wanted, but not as good if you want to be close to other amenities. Overall, with all that was included as part of my stay I think it was worth it for a few days and it’s a great place to be if you want to practice yoga.
Did Arial Yoga this afternoon with Elly and it was simply great! The shala, the sunset, the practice - everything was so enjoyable! Elly is a great teacher, smiley, attentive and very well-prepared. The sequences she proposed were for all levels and she made me feel safe to try poses I'd never tried before Will definitely come beck!
This was my first time doing yoga in Canggu, especially at Udara Bali 🌊🤍 I really loved the atmosphere here, it was so calm and relaxing for yoga. Honestly, my friend and I got the third floor with an ocean view, but unfortunately it was windy and rainy in the morning 🥶 so we moved to the cave. However, we didn’t feel disappointed at all! The cave was amazing too, very surprising! 😆 Besides that, the yoga instructor, Pak Wayan, was lovely. I also met the owner, who was so humble. I got complimentary breakfast, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, Udara Bali! 🙏🏻 I will definitely come back 😊
