Hola Souls, this is a review of my first time as a guest staying for 12 nights at Pachamama. I hope this helps uncertain souls who have never heard if this place before: I booked a Bungalow which is surprisingly bigger than expected. The commode offers a lot of space to put all your stuff you bring. We live in harmony with the animals here. So far, no bites and I did not have to use mosquito repellant so far. No sunscreen either because there is a enough shade. Be aware that the paths walking between the Restaurant and to the temples are a bit steep and demand foot work. This is all an integrated part of moving your body. Each week they offer different Meditations and Yoga, Sharing and Silent Circles that you can take part in for free. The food each day is absolutely served fresh and if you do not make it to their Dining Schedules, the Wild Treats Coffee helps you out with food, snacks, juices, cacao. They also offer Poetry Slams and a bit of an Evening program where you can take part as a guest. When it comes to expenses, I shifted my perspective from being - pricey - into - what I get out of here - amazing, inspiring conversations, no judgement, integrating yourself, your life, learning what it means to sit with yourself and the Moment. This place will give you exactly back, what you bring in here. In the beginning it can be quite adventurous to walk with a light in the dark, but the clear sky full of Stars makes up for it. My belongings here feel save. I have not met any dark athmosphere or soul yet and also from what I have spoken to with the volunteers - people just love to come back here. If you are looking forward to experience a community - this is your calling. English is the language of communication and I am just blown away about how well it works here. Enjoy your stay and be ready to leap. Into yourself with the support of the Jungle. I am so grateful to experience this here and will carry lots of experiences in my heart from now on towards my further Journey. ❤️

I always feel held at pachamama 💛 I receive something new, unexpected yet always needed, every time. It’s very much “choose your own adventure” and while it is not for everyone, it is my guess that people who are confronted with the face of their own discomfort during their stay, very badly want to outsource the cause of their discomfort on something other than themselves, which is unfortunate for pachamama but somewhat inevitable as people wake up to their own sense of personal responsibility and autonomy. Things can get difficult of course, (for example my last stay was 11 days of constant rain with a grand total of 6 minutes of sunshine 🙃) but it is my belief that a satisfying life is not found in chasing constant easiness, and remaining in our comfort zones. Pachamama encourages us to become personally and willingly uncomfortable while keeping us stable, grounded and safe. They hold the space with obvious years of training and experience so you are able to dig deep into yourself and explore the shadowlands, if you wish… It’s ultimately up to you, you won’t be forced to do anything you don’t want to do at pachamama, but they WILL encourage you to keep going, not to give up on your body cleanse for example, if you’re having a bad day… I wish I could come back every couple months for the body cleanse actually. It is the most amazing feeling and connection to my body I have ever discovered, and would recommend it to anyone who was curious. I find the specific conditions of the cleanse are extremely hard to replicate in a ‘normal’ setting, and find the space and group setting they cultivate for the cleanse to be very unique and very valuable on its own. Thank you for your assistance and support for this important internal work. I always leave with new friends and new insights and I will look forward to return to the jungle 🙏 Ps- most people here complain about the bugs so I just want to be one voice actually advocating for their presence..! and mention that observing ~bug land~ at pachamama is one of my favorite things about pachamama! Last time i was there it was butterfly season and I was very moved to see a few rare insects I had hoped to see, which absolutely added to the connection of my internal experience, and to the beautiful land of costa rica.

I am a 57yo retired teacher from Canada. Two months after retiring in 2023 I began my first volunteer commitment at PachaMama. Each season has been powerful and transformative and I am still receiving and integrating the gifts that this third season has given me. I am noticing how much I have changed — in my body, my mind and my spirit. I have expanded. I have awakened. My heartfelt thanks to everyone and everything at PachaMama for supporting me in uncovering and re-discovering my true self. The workshops are life changing. The volunteer experience deeply nourishing and fulfilling. Th conscious community in this unique jungle experience is embracing and enriching. I have chosen these words carefully, yet the truth is that words can not fully capture the experience. See you next year PachaMama!! With love and gratitude, Petra

Wow.. I honestly don’t have enough words to express how much love I have for Pacha Mama. I spent two months there doing the work exchange, and it was a deeply meaningful experience. The food was incredible, the work felt fair and purposeful, and the workshops were truly transformative. I participated in Who Is In, the Silence Retreat, Tantra, and Sound of Freedom/Silence Music Prayer each one was high quality, thoughtfully led, and impactful in its own way. The facilitators are experienced, grounded, and genuinely devoted to what they offer. What makes this place really special for me is the community. I met so many beautiful people, and it quickly began to feel like family. This is a place for real inner work, connection, and growth. It definitely wasn’t my last visit! Thank you! ☀️ Lots of love ❤️
