GoogleCatherine's yoga class is so helpful in keeping my aging body flexible and strong. She has a wealth of knowledge of how the body works mechanically and just which exercises help various conditions. I am so touched that she tailors each class to the requests and needs of the folks attending. Not only is her instruction helpful, but she delivers it with warmth and good humor. She really cares about her students, sympathizes with their problems and celebrates their achievements. Catherine's most recent class (Nov. 16) was especially beneficial for me. All of her students were middle aged scoliosis sufferers with the same alignments. So she was able to tailor the class to our exact needs. Catherine leads her classes with such deep interest in her students and caring for their particular situations. She peppers her instruction with humor and good fellowship. Attending her class is not only physically helpful, but enjoyable.
Jon is a terrific teacher. He fully understands why each of us are taking the class. He tailors the moves individually, so we can get the most out of the position without hurting ourselves.He has compassion, knowledge and patience. His class is great.
The classes at Samamkaya are helpful in managing my various old injures and arthritis and generally keeping me feeling good. It can also be fun interacting with my fellow studentsToday's class was especially helpful for my shoulders and gave me new exercises to consider. It was a very restorative practice. Jon who was a sub today is a great teacher as is our usual teacher Debby.
I absolutely love Samamkaya! All the teachers are very knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to helping each individual student understand their body and feel their best. I look forward to every opportunity to take a class or workshop here.
I’ve just started my practice again after COVID and as always my experience with Samakaya was warm and comfortable. I enjoyed Jon’s class, (I’m partial to Debra for a multitude of reasons❤️) however he gave great instruction and helpful adjustments. Anyone with scoliosis or back pain should try Samakaya. You’ll feel great!
