GoogleI came across red diamond yoga while looking for a prenatal yoga class. I began with the Saturday classes with Constance and was so glad I did. Not only did it provide a place to meet and connect with other pregnant moms, but it also allowed me a chance for self care and exercise. The studio is easy to find - located on the corner at the second level of the strip mall. Parking can get difficult depending on the day, but there is a lot in the back too. They have package deals where you can buy 12 classes at once (averages to $13/class) or pay $15 for each prenatal class. The Tuesday/Thursday night classes and Saturday morning classes with Constance are a good balance between relaxation, stretching, and exercise. Constance incorporates an easy flow (good for both yoga enthusiasts and beginners) that focuses on building strength and flexibility in your hips and pelvis. She also helps you to practice your breathing, focus, and self esteem - all important in your labor process. You will feel some sort of workout as there are lunges, squats, etc. It’s very doable and helps build the strength needed for labor. I also loved Constance’s Wednesday morning class which is not as intensive, but focuses on the more gentle movements (still incorporating increasing flexibility) and a sound bath. I began these classes at 16weeks and went to the Saturday classes weekly until I went on mat leave and could attend the morning classes, all the way up to my 40th week of labor. All in all, if your looking for connection and a workout of some sort, I would highly recommend Constance’s classes. I am so grateful and will be coming back for my next pregnancy. I also hope to start the mommy and me classes once my baby is old enough.
Rooftop yoga with Red Diamond has been such a welcome relief for these crazy, distanced times. Being able to be outside and move with birds chirping and wind blowing almost feels like coming out of hibernation. The distancing feels very comfortable and the cork mats they provide as a cushion between your own mat (still needed) and the ground remove the issues of being on concrete. Sometimes it feels like being back with the community, even for an hour, is as beneficial for the mind as the yoga.
I’m very new to yoga. Originally came to Breathworks as a guest. Just finishing a month on the newcomer package. I’ve been getting to various sessions 6 days a week. All instructors are terrific. The staff are kind and helpful. I often sit for a few minutes in the palms location lobby just because the vibe (and tea) is so nourishing to my soul. Try the newcomer package and take full advantage. So many classes and times. Parking is easier at the Washington location. I’m also looking forward to participating in the hiking and volunteering opportunities
Red Diamond Yoga has been a terrific and caring community! I’m so blessed to have it right in my neighborhood. You’ll meet kind and supportive people from the instructors to the check-in/desk team and other members/like-minded classmates too! I’ve enjoyed the variety in classes as well from breath work sessions to acupuncture and yoga! My absolute favorite has been the breath work guided by Robert— please try it out & give it a shot ~ just be prepared to have your inner world expanded & make sure to show up with an open mind & heart (not just for others but yourself especially!) 👍
