I had a wonderful experience at Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort in Costa Rica. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The yoga classes were thoughtfully taught, well-structured, and suitable for different levels — I left each class feeling grounded, challenged, and refreshed. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed, making it easy to relax and unwind after a full day of practice. The food was another highlight: fresh, healthy, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. I also loved the juice bar — the smoothies were absolutely delicious, refreshing, and perfect after yoga or as a midday treat. So many yummy options, all made with fresh ingredients. The surroundings are absolutely stunning — peaceful, lush, and perfectly aligned with the spirit of yoga and wellness. It truly felt like a sanctuary where I could disconnect, recharge, and be present. I’m very happy with my stay and would highly recommend Bodhi Tree to anyone looking for a high-quality yoga retreat experience in a beautiful, supportive environment.
If I could give it a 10 star rating I would! Rooms were clean and smelled great. Not a normal clean like chemicals but like eucalyptus or something. The reminds me of when you're walking through a mall and Macy's has a luxurious scent. That's what this whole resort smelt like. Customer service/ housekeeping was on the ball. I texted the front desk for extra coffee and before I could sit, Housekeeping was knocking at my door with coffee. It took less than 2 minutes. Every single staff member was inviting and pleasant. The treetop rooms have waterfall showers and that was a delight. The king size bed was extremely comfortable with Egyptian cotton. The outside view from the room was amazing, especially watching the sunset. The buffet was magnificent. I stayed 7 days and everything they made was on point! The beach is in walking distance which is Clearwater and beautiful or they offer free bike or gulf cart rides. Local stores and pharmacy is also within walking distance and safe. Locals are Pura veda. Even the dogs seem to be living their best life living there. There is plenty to see and do. It a great place to learn to surf. Surfing You learn a lot of basic knowledge and they really guide you and make safety a priority. There's a spa, gym and multiple yoga classes. I went on a retreat with my fanominal yoga instructor Heather Solomon @yoga.ethos. Heather meets you where you are in your yoga journey. She's an amazing teacher. This is a very special place.
Loved trying yoga here! The resort is beautiful and the smoothie and drink bar is amazing. Walk-in classes are just $20 and very convenient. Teacher quality varies, so I recommend sticking to regular yoga rather than the sound bowl sessions. Definitely worth it!
Bodhi Tree was an amazing reset and the perfect blend of yoga, nature, and comfort. Location & Arrival The resort is located in Guiones (not central Nosara). Renting a car is helpful, the drive is about 3 hours and the roads can be a little rough. The beach is a 10-minute walk, or you can take the resort’s golf cart shuttle. Tuk-tuks make it easy to get into town. Don’t miss the Tuesday town market. Staff & Service The service is outstanding. Miranda at the front desk and Luis in the restaurant were especially wonderful. Rooms are cleaned daily and the staff genuinely makes your stay smooth and stress-free. Yoga & Fitness You get one free class per day, with the option to add more. Highly recommend Gentle Yoga with Jackie, Aerial Restore, and Core Flow. The shalas are beautiful and open-air, surrounded by lush greenery. There’s also a well-equipped, air-conditioned gym for weight training and cardio. All levels are welcome, don’t be intimidated by the advanced yogis you see around. Food & Drinks The food is delicious with solid vegetarian options, the pasta dishes were a favorite. Breakfast was included with our stay. The juice bar is a highlight with amazing smoothies, great coffee, and comfy seating with swings. Resort & Rooms The pool area is peaceful with plenty of seating, though the pool is deeper than expected for shorter or cautious swimmers. The landscaping throughout the resort is stunning. Rooms are clean and comfortable with canopy beds, a safe, outlets, and a coffee maker. Toiletries are provided. Getting Around & Tips Bring cash for tips, tuk-tuks, and excursions, around $200 is plenty for most travelers. Pack extra yoga/workout clothes since it’s very humid. Bring a reusable water bottle and a beach tote. Overall Bodhi Tree offers a welcoming, peaceful wellness escape with top-notch service, beautiful spaces, and excellent food. Whether you’re new to yoga or experienced, it’s an easy place to feel at home. Highly recommend
Took spin classes with both Chelsea and Lana on different days and had great experiences in each. Chelsea brought strong energy, great music, and clear cues that kept the class moving and motivated the entire ride. Lana matched that energy with an equally strong class — smooth flow, perfectly timed coaching, and a motivating vibe that pushed you while still keeping it fun. Both instructors brought their own style but were equally engaging, challenging, and professional. I’d happily take either of their classes again.
