Koru Yoga - Kerry McGregor
Boutique studio in the heart of Canterbury, Melbourne
About
Kerry's background as a massage therapist was the starting point for her yoga journey - her fascination with functional anatomy was fuelled by the beauty, strength and grace of the postures and she was thrilled to find a way to offer her clients a more comprehensive approach to long term spinal care and core stability issues (and fix her own back in the process!) What she didn't expect was to fall in love with a practice that would change her life. Peace, self acceptance, balance and contentment came hand in hand with strength, fitness and flexibility. Kerry continues to take workshops with international teachers whenever possible to build and deepen her knowledge and explore the complexities of a practice that dates back many thousands of years. Her goal is to share the amazing gift of yoga with as many others as she can. She is an ambassador for Lululemon Camberwell. She assesses and provides feedback for course work and conducts training workshops in specialist areas for teachers and trainees at the Australian College of Classical Yoga. Kerry is raising two beautiful daughters, and in her time off the mat, she indulges her passion for vegetarian food, sharing recipes on her site salivate... She grows as many of her own vegetables as she can, (supports farmers markets for those she can't), is trying her hand at making (rudimentary) cheese and is considering raising some chickens. She belongs to a local food swap and is angling for space at the local community gardens. She loves catering for yoga retreats and, finally caving in to pressure, is planning some basic vegetarian cooking classes for those keen to explore a kinder way of eating. Koru Yoga forms the basis of a dream to provide a place where the local community can come and share any or all of these things. Come and join her at Koru.
