GoogleI attended Sandra’s pregnancy yoga classes and they quickly became the highlight of my week. It was my first pregnancy and I had never really done yoga before, but I decided to go to help with anxiety and because I wanted to stay as physically active as possible. Sandra’s classes combine stretching and movement specific to pregnancy with learning about the female anatomy, changes to the body, and preparing for childbirth. She has created a very calm, relaxed and non-judgmental atmosphere with small classes and personalised advice. Attending her classes gave me the knowledge, self-confidence and mental strength to really enjoy my pregnancy and feel ready for the birth. I am now less anxious than I was before my pregnancy! I wholeheartedly recommend Sandra’s classes and am looking forward to joining her post-natal classes soon. The best pregnancy and post-natal yoga class ever! I feel so grateful to have found Sandra and attended her classes throughout my pregnancy and right up to 40 weeks, and I really credit Sandra with making me feel so confident, calm and relaxed in the run up to birth. This is so so much more than a yoga class, Sandra starts each class with a brief look at different aspects of the anatomy of the pelvis using props and models. Over time, this builds up such a valuable and empowering understanding of the female anatomy and how we can use movement and breathing to aid physiological birth. Sandra’s deep knowledge and understanding of anatomy makes the yoga itself so much more impactful, putting into practice the theory she shares at the start of each class. I’m so glad to have taken her classes regularly for months because this knowledge and the movements to aid birth become deeply ingrained and second nature. I also hugely benefited from Sandra’s 1:1 birth preparation at our own home that filled both me and my husband with confidence and even excitement for birth, rehearsing movements to do together to make me more comfortable and aid physiological birth. I am so grateful and happy to say that thanks to Sandra’s incredible coaching over months, I had a very straightforward physiological birth with just 20 mins of pushing, using the positions she taught me. And now I am so happy to join her very special, intimate mum and baby yoga sessions with my son. Sandra creates such a safe, supportive space and community. I’m grateful to have made some amazing friends through attending her classes thanks to the community she nurtures. I feel very lucky to have found Sandra. I have done both pregnancy and postnatal yoga with her and have really enjoyed both. Sandra makes sure to make everyone feel welcome in her classes. She tailors them to the attendees and creates a beautiful community. She also teaches important childbirth physiology during her classes which is so useful when giving birth! I can also recommend her partner yoga and private childbirth classes. We felt really prepared after having done these with her.
Sandra is an incredible yoga teacher. She is warm, caring and extremely knowledgeable about general human anatomy, pregnancy related changes to the female body as well as post-pregnancy challenges facing women both physically and emotionally. I started attending Sandra's class around week 13 and went almost every week as I felt more and more confident after going to Sandra's class each time. She takes a holistic approach to help women and cares deeply about each one of us attending her class (she takes notes on their weekly development and answers their questions individually). It is evident that Sandra places compassion in the heart of her teaching and it is not an overstatement to say that her classes have soothed my fear greatly and given me the confidence to birth my daughter calmly, without which the whole journey of pregnancy would be undoubtably much less joyful and full of anxiety. I feel so grateful to have attended Sandra's classes and had her unreserved help on this life-changing journey of motherhood.
Sandra is an incredible teacher. I feel very lucky to have taken her classes right up until I went into labour, and am convinced this enabled me to be comfortable up until the end of pregnancy followed by an efficient labour, as her classes prepare the body and mind so well. We also did a partner session with Sandra which was fantastic and allowed my partner to confidently support me in every aspect of the final stage of pregnancy through to birth. Like others have mentioned, I was sad when pregnancy ended as it meant I had to stop taking her classes! I will certainly return for the mom and baby sessions.
