Wow! FINALLY an amazing yoga place in Maspeth! The space is clean and new with a wonderful ambiance. A wide variety of classes is offered - from beginner and chair yoga to more advanced styles. The teachers are lovely - adjusting to any ability level in the class. What a great place to be! I've found the clients as well as the instructors to be friendly, outgoing and all-inclusive - no matter your age or ability level. It's a place that I really want to go to several times per week. And now they some other non-yoga classes such as core work and pilates. This is a great complement to my yoga practice - I don't have to have 2 separate memberships. Annie the owner is absolutely wonderful. Her classes are great - and her upbeat attitude really makes you want to come and just be there. What a breath of fresh air! I highly recommend this place - to practice as well as be part of a great community.

I highly recommend the Yin yoga class with spiritual and yoga teacher Dana Humphrey. She teaches Yin Yoga @QueensCommunityYoga. Dana’s classes focus on postures that deeply open the hips, spine, pelvis, shoulders and inner experience. You are slowing down, paying attention, breathing, and cultivating a true understanding of Yoga. The class focuses on longer holds that are not meant to be comfortable and you are invited to explore physical and mental balance outside your comfort zone. It’s all about a heightened sense of awareness which creates more space in the body and the mind. Science says - “ Our issues are embedded in our tissues.” The origin of our pain lives in our body and all the wisdom we need to heal is within us. Dana guides you to find refuge in your body, in your yoga practice. We all want to be at ease, soften, move gracefully, and find our peace and our own sweet spot. I am so grateful for the presence and vibration of my yoga teacher Dana, her kind and gentle spirit, and for making a big difference in my life. Namaste

As someone new to Yoga I did not know what to expect, but from the minute I walked into the studio I felt welcomed and at ease. The instructors are kind, patient and knowledgeable. They take time to explain the poses and work at your specific skill level. I have always felt supported and never judged. I appreciate the calming atmosphere, soothing music and breathing and mindfulness. I highly recommend!

A Supportive and Welcoming Introduction to Yoga! As someone new to yoga, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction than Heather's class. I felt completely at ease thanks to the calm, professional, and encouraging environment she creates. The class is thoughtfully structured, with clear instructions and modifications offered to accommodate all experience levels, especially beginners like myself. Heather demonstrates a deep knowledge of yoga, but even more importantly, a genuine care for each student’s comfort and progress. The pace is gentle but still engaging, and there's a strong emphasis on proper alignment, breathwork, and listening to your own body. I never once felt judged or overwhelmed, and instead, left the class feeling great, more grounded, and eager to return. If you are new to yoga or simply looking for a kind and patient guide to help you get started, I definitely recommend this class.
