If your goal is to become a yoga teacher, Janel and Horace at Nexus have put together a curriculum that pretty much guarantees you to acquire the tools, knowledge and the confidence to teach. The way the NEXUS training is structured, it does not leave anyone behind! Unlike other Yoga teacher trainings, the NEXUS training incorporates practice teaching sessions each week for every participant. The training is very much empowering and Janel and Horace are guiding their students every step of the way. By the end of 3 weeks I had found my voice and my yoga vinyasa flow to teach for an entire hour! I feel transformed and filled with deep gratitude for my teachers and this beautiful country, Costa Rica. Pura Vida 🌸🦋

I attended Nexus for the 2025 Summer Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training. The location of Nexus itself was a sanctuary, nestled in nature, surrounded by the jungle and only five minutes walking from the beach. Janel and Horice brought an incredible depth to every yoga practice, weaving in mindfulness and meditation, guiding us through moments of quiet reflection that allowed us to connect with our true selves. I especially appreciated the daily integration of chanting, it was really special. Nexus created a supportive community where we could share our journeys, struggles, and triumphs. The connection between the participants was truly beautiful, and I felt a sense of belonging from the very first day. By the end I felt transformed—not only physically, but spiritually and emotionally. I left feeling lighter, more connected, and more aligned with my true self. The yoga teacher training at Nexus is a program that teaches you more than just how to teach a yoga class. Janel and Horus have intentionally built a curriculum that strengthens and develops you as a whole person. They attract such an amazing group of people to their trainings. I left feeling prepared to teach yoga and also to step more fully into other passions and aspirations I have in life. In addition to their great mentorship, the institute itself is a gorgeous space nestled in the jungle near the ocean in Nosara which made the experience all that much better. It was comfortable, safe and welcoming. Highly recommend Nexus!

Nexus was truly incredible. It was everything I could’ve hoped to get out of my 200 hour ytt and more. I made life long friendships and feel so confident in the skills we were taught along the way. Janel and Horace go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and at home. I will forever cherish nexus and the memories made in Costa Rica!!
