GoogleI visited randomly and they were a very welcoming community. The volunteers and staff there explain things well and spent so much time with me showing me around and giving me a tour. I did a nice oracle reading and they gave me so many little things to take home with me. I'm glad to just have spent some time there and did a nice meditation. They have all the nice decorations for the lunar new year 🐎🫶🧧
If you live in Los Angeles, and looking for many smiling people, this is the place. The staff here are very helpful and supportive. They can answer your questions from translation of lectures, songs, and chanting to food ingredients. About my chanting session experience, I have a lot to share, maybe when I finished my session. I went to a chanting retreat here, and it was truly magical and life transforming. The people are so kind and so welcoming. The environment is beautiful and serene. I highly recommend this center to all.
10/5/2025 (during event) I attended Bodhi Meditation’s Happy Mid-Autumn Festival and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, everyone was so welcoming and kind, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The event was very well organized — everything flowed smoothly, and the surroundings were peaceful, clean, and beautifully arranged. You could really feel the care and thoughtfulness put into every detail. The only thing I noticed was that the riddle games seemed to be geared mainly toward Asian participants, which made it a bit difficult for others to join in and interact. It would be great if future events included games or activities that everyone could easily participate in together. Overall, it was a joyful celebration filled with positive energy and community spirit. I’m already looking forward to attending their next event! 11/19/2023 (After Event) I've been contemplating the inquiry posed to me regarding my participation in the 8.5-Day Health & Happiness Retreat. Initially, it was a stroke of serendipity that I found myself on vacation precisely during the retreat dates. Moreover, my dear wife had persistently urged me to partake in this event. Admittedly, engaging in activities that don't pique my interest is not my cup of tea. Each passing day felt like an eternity as I trudged through the retreat, merely counting the minutes. My primary motive for attending was to appease my wife, hoping to extinguish the daily look of frustration she wore. Her belief in the benefits of this retreat was the driving force behind my presence; supporting her became my focal point, despite my lack of enthusiasm. If queried about my fondness for retreats, it unequivocally does not align with my preferences. However, my paramount objective remains supporting my wife, who firmly believes in its efficacy for her well-being. This is my opportunity to join an event at this renowned center for the first time and witness the miracles it creates for myself. I'm excited to share my thoughts after completing my 8-day retreat. Throughout this journey, I've had the opportunity to reconnect with my body and become more aware of sensations I had forgotten, like the occasional discomfort in my neck, shoulders, and back from extended periods of sitting. Additionally, I've been reminded of the effects of uric acid build-up, experiencing mild discomfort in my ankle and toe. As the days went by, I noticed that I was constantly sweating, and while I occasionally experienced itching and tiredness, it was all part of the process. On the eighth day, I even encountered some digestive symptoms, though I'm not entirely sure what they signify. Nonetheless, I'm grateful for this retreat and the chance to reacquaint myself with my body. I look forward to its conclusion and the positive changes it has brought about.
