GoogleI hosted a 5 day/4 night yoga retreat at Amara Retreat and we had a lovely stay, would gladly rebook this location. We stayed at the main house with 10 people total - could have easily accommodated the max of 12. The yoga studio was spacious with gorgeous views. Our chef was happy that there was a FULL kitchen with everything that could be desired. The only thing missing was the ability to wash our clothes, but for most guests I suspect this won't be an issue. The hosts were attentive, the house was clean and well-maintained.
I had the privilege to host a beautiful 4 day retreat at Amara and I cannot say a bad word about it. From the start, Bri was so friendly, relaxed, professional and kind and this helped put me at ease with knowing that Amara would be the perfect fit for my retreat as her radiant energy rippled into Amara. The luxury home with 6 bedrooms, nestled in the most peaceful bush setting was idyllic to say the least. You just need to visit and your soul will whisper the alignment you need. Thank you Bri for your hospitality. We shall be booking again very soon.
WOW. What an amazing place. There was 10 of us, age ranging from 19-61 and everyone had an amazing stay at Amara Retreat. The hosts were extremely helpful but allowed us our privacy. The fantastic beach and excellent restaurants are within a 15 minute drive, yet you feel like you are the only people in the world when sitting on the terrace. Would recommend to everyone. Many thanks.
Warrior women’s circle retreat hosted at Amara was most perfect location. The retreat details please see Warrior Women’s Circle. Amara vista is breathtaking, land allows strolls to lake , fire pit and more . Yoga studio leans to view nature in every pose . Shared accommodation, was immaculately clean and tidy . Plentiful nooks to get away like veranda , fire pit, pool and sauna .
I've run 4 of my VysionQuest Retreats at Amara in the last 8 months and each one has been MAGIC. Our favorite things: the big front deck with incredible view, massive yoga space also with that incredible view, the nature - birds, trees, tree frogs and kangaroos, two great tables for group work, the owners who respond quickly when we need something, the dam for swimming, the sauna and pool combo, two campfire spaces. The rooms are simple which fit the "back to nature" vibe of the place. I think the nicest rooms are the glamping tents... so comfy. If you are a fussy, complainy retreat leader this property might not be the best fit, but if being on a big property in nature and doing some walking will enhance your retreat, it's amazing.
