GoogleI had such a special experience at Yin Yoga Bali for my 200-hour yin/yang YTT, my first teacher training. Maya and Pratik are incredible teachers: inspiring, very knowledgeable, and full of passion for what they do. Their energy beautifully balances yin and yang, and their guidance helped me connect to yoga on a much deeper level. I really loved both their philosophy and methodology classes. The school/shala is cozy and peaceful, set in a lovely location outside Ubud/Gianyar. It’s about a 50-minute drive from the “city,” but totally doable, especially on weekends, and there are a couple of coffee shops nearby for cravings. The facilities are basic but comfortable, and the daily meals were nourishing. I personally loved the calm, supportive atmosphere and preferred the smaller group setting over some of the larger trainings you see at other schools, it felt much more personal. Bonus: there are cute puppies and cats around, a lovely pool surrounded by frangipani, and even a fun ice bath experience. The opening and closing Balinese ceremonies were wonderful too. Maya and Pratik were very supportive throughout the training. When I had a minor health issue, Maya went out of her way to help me and lend me what I needed, which really showed how caring they are. If you’re new to yoga and considering this school, here’s my take: I spent two years researching schools before finally taking the leap. The yin/yang blend here is truly unique. The training or topics can feel geared toward more advanced students at times (they also offer 300H), but I found that empowering, it opens your eyes to the depth of yoga. That doesn’t mean it’s not suitable for beginners, they are super accommodating and welcoming, but be prepared to learn (and sweat). It can be intense, both physically and mentally, but it’s such a beautiful experience. Overall, this training is thoughtful, enriching, and leaves you inspired to teach and practice yoga. As a beginner teacher, I didn’t leave with complete confidence, but I think that’s exactly as it should be. I can guide a beautiful class now, but more importantly, this training reminded me that this is just the start of a lifelong journey of learning and practicing yoga. I’m so grateful for the experience and would absolutely consider returning for more training! Thank you & all the best 🩷
Just completed my 300hrs YTT- had the best time here. This school is located in the lap of nature. Beautiful property & friendly staff. The course guides you through the Yin & Yang element of yoga. Various teachers sharing their depth of knowledge and wisdom, Maya and Pratik being the amazing lead teachers. We had transformational workshops and was guided very well through our this journey. Highly recommended- 30 days weren’t easy but definitely worth it.
Namaskaram :) I had a nice experience at the Yin yoga school in Gianyar 🌼 The teachers are nice and rotate regularly, which brings a refreshing variety of teaching styles. The space is beautiful, with a lovely sauna and a peaceful garden that adds to the calming atmosphere. Gianyar itself is the perfect place for a grounding and serene YTT, far from the crowds, yet rich in local culture and nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful and heart-opening yoga journey. 🙏🌿
I just completed the Yin Yoga course with Maya, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Maya is a grounded and knowledgeable teacher, and it’s clear that what she shares comes from years of personal exploration and embodied experience. She truly transmits her understanding with care. She’s also incredibly attentive to detail .. both in the practice itself and in the space she creates , making everything feel welcoming, held, and beautifully intentional. The location is absolutely stunning: surrounded by nature, close to Ubud and not far from the beach with motorbike. The shala is next level even in terms of equipment, with a strong Iyengar influence that supports depth and precision in the practice. And the home-cooked food? Nourishing, delicious, and full of love. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a transformative experience rooted in the essence of the Yin practice .
I attended early 2025 for 100-hour Yin YTT - such a magical experience. Maya & Pratik have been such passionate teachers to learn from. The structure of the curriculum was very Yin, spacious days, long breaks and time spent in devotion to our own practice. The school itself is located in a quiet village close to Ubud, a perfect location for a total nervous system reset from more populated areas. Food was amazing, I felt totally catered for. This was a healing experience just as much as it was a learning experience. I had previously completed my 200 hour YTT and found the educational content on this 100 hour YTT was stimulating intellectually, and different to what I had learnt previously. I will be back next year for my 300 hours! 🧚🏼
