GoogleVikasa feels much more like a boutique retreat than a high-turnover hotel. People know your name from day one, which creates a personal, calm, and welcoming experience rather than a mass-produced one. The facilities are beautiful and very clean, and the brunch and dinner are both super healthy and impressively varied. As a yoga retreat, the classes and teachers are excellent. In addition, there is an evening programme every other day, such as gong, sound healing, dance, or yoga nidra. Vikasa also offers personalised programmes and teacher trainings. Having completed my YTT there myself, I can confidently say that the trainings are of top, Ivy-level quality. Overall, it truly is a very serene place where body, mind, and soul can calm down. Highly recommended!!
We stayed at Vikasa in Koh Samui for three nights, and without any doubt, it was a truly special experience. This place radiates a unique, deep, and authentic energy that you can feel from the very first moment. The staff was always incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel at home at all times. The yoga teachers were outstanding: an exceptionally high level of professionalism, experience, and communication, with classes suitable for every level, from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I had already been here two years ago for a longer stay and had a wonderful experience, but this year, together with Francesca, we truly fell in love with this place all over again. It managed to surprise us once more, exceeding even our best memories. The location is simply perfect: beachfront, surrounded by nature, and at the same time strategically positioned to explore Koh Samui and the nearby islands. An ideal balance between practice, relaxation, and discovery. We leave with deep joy and heartfelt gratitude for such an intense and rejuvenating experience. We will definitely return and can only highly recommend Vikasa to anyone who wishes to practice high-quality yoga and enjoy Koh Samui in a truly magical place. Thank you from the heart ❤️ Renato & Francesca
I came to Vikasa for the Recharge personal program in October. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was everything I could have imagined. The program itself includes all the yoga classes on offer at the White Prana Sala, with the addition of daily private sessions to work through the Recharge program material. The content was just what I needed, and Kara was a beautifully wise and safe guide through it all. I was also supported by Eva, who made sure that I always felt comfortable at Vikasa and was there to answer any questions I might have. My prana cabana room was beautiful, the balcony looked over the beach and I spent hours just sitting outside listening to the birds, watching fireflies, and meditating to the sound of the waves. The food here is next level, so incredibly delicious, and the vegan ice cream is something I could (and did!) happily eat every day. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but they are a great warmup for your practice, and the infinity pool is always there to cool off in. I often had the whole pool to myself, which was gorgeous. I would highly recommend a Vikasa personal program if you want to spend a week in a beautiful location, working on your practice and yourself. Thank you to everyone there for such a beautiful stay! Oh, and I can't forget Sally's massages, they were HEAVEN!
I recently completed the flow 100hr training at Vikasa, it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had. Michael and Nikki were incredible teachers. They’re knowledgeable, clear, supportive and you can feel how much they care about the practice and the people in the room. The food was amazing every single day. Fresh, flavourful and made with so much intention. The environment itself feels like a sanctuary. Calm, open and the kind of space where you can breathe and unwind. It attracts the nicest people too. I felt held, safe and completely supported from the moment I arrived even as a solo traveller. I learned so much and left feeling stronger, clearer and inspired. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone considering a training or retreat there.
This is a review of a 300 HR YTT The hotel: I stayed in a Lotus Pad, and although it meant climbing around 100 stairs to reach the yoga shala and restaurant, the spectacular ocean views, wind, and birds along the way made the surroundings feel deeply nourishing and alive. The room itself was simple yet comfortable, with all the basics you need, allowing you to focus on what truly matters. The pool area is gorgeous, and the hidden beach is definitely worth the walk! The Life Café: Is a beautiful gathering place, with consistently delicious and nourishing food and, above all, incredibly warm staff who welcome you by name and make you feel at home. Thank you to all the staff for making it so lovely to be there, especially to Chu and Nway 🤍 The YTT: To me, what sets Vikasa apart is the training itself. It is thoughtfully designed, with every class serving a clear purpose. Most importantly, the approach to yoga is refreshingly non-dogmatic. Rather than presenting a single truth, we were offered multiple perspectives, sometimes even opposing ones, which encouraged me to reflect, discern, and take what resonated while leaving the rest. This, to me, created a mature, respectful, and empowering learning environment. It was also super nice and insightful to have different teachers with different practice styles; it enriched and inspired the way I will teach in the future. Spending a whole month in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by like-minded people, created deep bonds, and I’m sure I made friendships that will last a lifetime.
