GoogleWords cannot express how much we loved our stay at Su Retreat Hoi An. From the very beginning (at check in) we were welcomed at the entrance by a sweet man who took our luggage for us. Upon arriving at the gorgeous "lobby" (the open-aired central structure of the small estate), we were given delicious cold berry tea, coconut crackers and a refreshing towel to wash the journey away. Ruby and Alice welcomed us as old friends and instantly made us comfortable. Ruby recommended many activities: curated outings, tailors, boat rides, farm experiences, massage packages, and so much more, but not in a pushy way at all. When we ate at the restaurant for dinner that night, we had the best Vietnamese meal anyone could ask for and were again treated as old friends (even family!) by the wait staff James and Nancy. The best part was that I mentioned on my booking note that my birthday would fall on one of the days my partner and I stayed there. THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS MADE AWARE! They were so excited to make my birthday special (see pictures) and went out of their way to do so. The entire retreat area is well-maintained and clean as a whistle - with happy koi pond fish and lush green native plants. There is a private car/van you can book and they even give you a WhatsApp number to contact them directly during your stay. Alice and Ruby even researched and asked around about a special trip I wanted to make. For the sake of not writing a novel, I will wrap up this review here, but I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Dare I say, it would even be worth your while to go out of your way to make a trip to Hoi An, Vietnam just to stay here. The staff are 10/10 and my partner and I have stayed in some incredible places. Special shout-out to Ruby, Alice, James, and Nancy - though everyone we interacted with was lovely (we just never asked their names).
We had such a lovely stay at Su Retreat! Everyone there was really nice and welcoming and we felt very well taken care of the whole time. The room was super clean, quiet, and kept to a high standard, which made it really comfortable. Breakfast didn’t have a lot of options, but everything tasted good. Overall, we had a great experience.
We stayed for five nights and had the most amazing time! It’s a stunning boutique hotel and the most comfortable bed i’ve ever slept on. The staff were incredibly kind, the room was so nice and very much 5 stars and the breakfast and cocktails were delicious. It’s a little out of town (15 minute bike ride from the old town) but they provide free bikes which we made use of everyday and it’s a very cheap grab if you don’t like riding. Couldn’t recommend more!
The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location is in a convenient location that was just a short bike ride to Old town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with an amazing bath. The staff made the experience so cozy and beautiful. There are no words to describe the experience. Thank you to Alice and James and the rest of the staff who we are struggling to recal (sorry), your kindness, happiness and warmness is something that we have taken back in our hearts and is exactly what the world needs. I will never forget my experience in this hotel. I visited the hotel in June 2025. My husband booked for my birthday. They beautifully decorated the room and offered me a delicious bento cake. The entire staff was incredibly kind and the hotel is truly peaceful. The hotel is deeply rooted in local culture and has not been westernized, allowing you to fully experience a high-end Vietnamese atmosphere. The swimming pool is stunning and the rooms offer absolute comfort. This hotel truly deserves its five stars. Thank you once again to the entire team for the warm welcome - an experience I will never forget!
