As a newbie to Reformer Pilates but not exercise or biomechanics, and as someone with ADHD for whom verbal instructions are really challenging, having the videos to follow along while the instructor comes around to check form and give tweaks or helpful instructions is pretty much a dream set up for me. The classes go by so quickly and even after just a month my chronic back pain was practically gone. After 3 I measured a 1/2” taller. Casey and Nidia’s classes are my favorite!
I’ve been attending Studio Pilates for nine months now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best fitness decisions I’ve made. The workouts are consistently challenging yet rewarding, with each class pushing me to build strength, flexibility and endurance. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and always provide helpful corrections to ensure proper form. I love the structured, low-impact workouts that deliver real results—I feel stronger, more toned and overall healthier. The studio itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Whether you’re new to Pilates or experienced, I highly recommend Studio Pilates for an effective and engaging workout experience!
I came here for my first Pilates class ever and it was wonderful! All of the instructors are incredibly kind and really pay attention to your form. I will say, you are guided by a tv as in, the instructor is not doing the moves with you, they are ensuring you’re doing it correctly and effectively. The monitors will give you directions on the exercise and how long you’ll be doing them. The instructors again, are fantastic because they’ll adjust you, cheer you on and make sure you’re making the most out of the class. So if you’re not into following along with a screen, this might not be for you lol Personally, I love it here. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s been wanting to try Pilates but may feel intimated by it. Plus their intro package is the most reasonable I’ve seen so far for NYC.
Studio Pilates is convenient, easy, and a great choice for beginners. They require 1 orientation class, and then you’re free to sign up according to your schedule. Classes are easy to book, change, and there seems to be a number of instructors and workouts that keeps things having a healthy variety, but also being simple enough to book with any instructor you particularly like. I’ve had an easy time coming in as someone with nearly 0 exercise experience, and is a great place to start with no intimidation, while also seeming challenging and engaging for those more experienced.
These classes have help me in so many ways with my strengthen and moving with control. I love how the trainer are so friendly and always helpful & I find it fun never boring always. Fyi taken these classes its also trending ;)
