GoogleStayed November 2025. 3.5 stars rounded up because the two front desk receptionists I had were spectacular. Something I’ve noticed about Mexico is that the majority of people you come across are friendly and helpful. When I arrived, I was personally shown to my room by the day attendant, and he gave me recommendations for food and drink with ocean views. I listened to his recs and was happy I did! A feature of the property I loved was the wildlife in all the nature that’s entwined with the property. I saw an animal I’ve never seen before, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The rooms are basic but will get the job done for solo travel. The beds are very hard (personally I love a hard bed so my back feels fully supported), and the room I was in had a balcony view overlooking the garden area. The major drawback but also positive is the location. It’s literally a couple of minutes walk from the ado bus station and just off the main road for tourists. However, this means be prepared for music from the nearby bars and restaurants to only stop at around 11-12. While perfect if you plan on coming back late, I wasn’t looking to party this trip and wished I had some quiet earlier in the night.
We had a wonderful stay at Posada Siam Kaan. After a long travel day, followed by a long walk across town (and being offered every service and “item” under the sun), our arrival at the hotel was met with a sigh of relief. Despite being only half a block from Quinta Ave, the interior grounds are a welcome and tranquil oasis from the hustle and bustle outside. Staff are unbelievably sweet and friendly, there’s a lovely little quasi-cenote, beautiful trees and the sounds of birds in the morning. Water is available on-site, as well as a small pool. The room is spacious and comfortable, a nice shower, and good AC. No means of heating water/coffee in the room, a kettle would not go amiss. We would love to stay at this location again, if the winds of chance ever blew us back to Playa del Carmen…
The location is very convenient. Steps away from the beach, very close to the ferry and the bus station. It's also the most crowded and noisy area. The hotel itself is very clean, but the rooms, especially the bathrooms, extremely outdated. Almost non existing water pressure, which made even washing hands an ordeal. The pool is very small and is more for decoration. The sundeck is completely neglected. The staff is very kind, helpful, and attentive.
We had a lovely stay here. It is just a half a block from the beach with most rooms overlooking the pool and garden area. Check in was quick and easy and we were escorted to our room by the front desk staff. Our rooms were tidied every morning so we could come home to a sparkling room. We loved reading on the balcony, walking around PDC, or spending time on the beach and this hotel was right in the middle of all of this. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family and we hope to visit here again!
