Pasraman Ghanta Yoga

About

Pasraman Ghanta Yoga is a spiritual and wellness centre rooted in the living traditions of Bali, Indonesia. Unlike contemporary yoga studios, this is a place where ancient Balinese Hindu knowledge meets practical, everyday spiritual life. The centre draws on the concept of taksu swagina — a Balinese idea referring to one's inner radiance and professional vitality — as the foundation for everything it offers. Students and practitioners come here not only to move and breathe, but to understand themselves more fully through a lens that is distinctly and authentically Balinese.

The yoga practised at Pasraman Ghanta Yoga is described as Yoga Asli Bali, or authentic Balinese yoga, which encompasses the physical, the spiritual, and the energetic dimensions of a person. Classes include Yoga Inner Beauty Ghanta, a practice designed to activate both the outer and inner self. Beyond the mat, the centre offers training in traditional ceremonial roles, including kepemangkuan and serati, which are deeply meaningful within the context of Balinese Hindu ritual life. Seminars and life-skill programmes with a spiritual focus are also part of the regular curriculum.

A significant part of what sets this centre apart is its integration of traditional Balinese healing. Through the Klinik Jalasiddhi Usadha and the Klinik Sri Sedhana Ghanta, practitioners can access energy therapies and traditional medicinal knowledge known as Usadha Bali — a cultural heritage that draws on the use of medicinal plants and energetic healing to address health concerns. These offerings sit alongside consultations that span both the physical (sekala) and the metaphysical (niskala) realms, reflecting a holistic worldview that is central to Balinese spiritual practice.

Situated in Bali, a place already recognised globally for its spiritual depth and cultural richness, Pasraman Ghanta Yoga offers something that goes well beyond a standard yoga class. It is a community space where spiritual education, healing, and ritual knowledge are passed down and kept alive. For those seeking a genuine connection to Balinese tradition — whether through yoga, healing, ceremony, or self-understanding — this centre provides a grounded and meaningful place to begin.
