He knows how to guide us perfectly into each asana, offers alternatives, and, most importantly, provides very precise adjustments. I am so glad I chose Namaste Yoga Shala in Mysuru for my one-month Ashtanga practice. As an Asthanga beginner in my 50s, I found it challenging at times, but with Mohan ji’s constant support, patience, and guidance, I was able to progress far more than I expected. I really appreciated the small class sizes, which meant each of us received personal attention and support from Mohan ji. Leaving today feels emotional, but I know this won’t be goodbye — I will definitely return again soon.
I had the most amazing yoga experience of my life today! I feel completely blissful, and my body feels wonderful. Mohan Raj Krishnamurthy took so much time for me, explained every pose with great detail, and found creative ways to help me work around all my limitations. During this class, I managed to get into poses I’d never been able to do before — even the Wheel Pose! Mohan has incredible knowledge and gently guides you beyond your limits. He also offers private sessions, which I highly recommend if you get the chance. It’s absolutely worth it! Thank you so much — I’d love to come back anytime!

I wish I had discovered Mohan Raj earlier in my time in Mysore. I was just there for 2 classes. The Backbending class which is truly intense and educational. He is very skillfull leading you safely into the intense Backbends. The other class I attended was Ashtanga Alignment. I can’t recommend it enough. In this one class I feel like I’ve learned more than in the week before. He really sees every student and supports them where they are. He showed me a lot of preparation poses to help me get into the Asanas safer and better and build more strength in the praxis. I can’t imagine how much I would’ve learned if I would have been able to stay for a whole month. So I recommend going there directly because it really deepens and strengthens your yoga practice. You get an understanding for your own body and not just trying to push it into different shapes. This is the place to really learn Ashtanga. Thank you so much for everything 🙏🏻
