GoogleThe space itself is excellent for quiet prayer, reflection, grounding, and meditation. It’s calm, clean, and genuinely relaxing. For the atmosphere and simply being there, this place deserves full marks. Unfortunately, the experience was negatively affected by the behavior of the single attendant present. Visitors were told, “You can’t SLEEP HERE!” when lying down, which shows a clear misunderstanding of meditation and grounding practices. Lying down is a common way to meditate or reflect, and the attendant would’ve known if she has ever practiced. The core issue here is misalignment, not just confusion. If the space is meant strictly for prayer with specific rules, then that should be clearly stated in the name, only then enforced consistently. But calling it a meditation space while imposing prayer-style restrictions creates a disconnect between what the space claims to be and how it is managed. You can’t promote openness and grounding, then control how people are allowed to be present. For those who has hard time finding it, the space is located just behind the internet center. The atmosphere is excellent, but the management approach and clarity of purpose need serious improvement.
It's an interfaith prayer room, so keep in mind to be polite to other faith when you met them in the room. It is located in 2nd floor schipol lounge 2. For you who checked in through gate 25-30, after security check, you'll have to walk all the way to the other side of your lounge (lounge 3). You take your ablution in the shower in the toilet nearby where you'll find modified shower to conviniently washed your feet. You'll find prayer mat in the cupboard of the entrance, you can also put your shoes in the lower part of the cupboard. It's a mixed gender prayer place, so man and woman prayed in the same room. Please make sure you fold and put back your prayer mat in the cupboard where you get them before. It's a luxury where you can pray freely and worry free. Hopefully someday Schipol will add another room near lounge 3. Please like if you agree with me 🙂
Amsterdam Airport If you are in transit and it’s time for a salah. This is a perfect place Alhamdulillah. Very nice and clean. Musallah and you can walk in and offer your salah. There is a full time person works there to keep it clean and watch you stuff. Very friendly and welcoming.
I was here for praying due to layover from Milan to Singapore. I am happy able to find this mushalla due very hard to find a place to pray in europe airport.
Location is Lounge 2 - close to McDonald's and Starbucks Clean, neat and very peaceful meditation/multi faith room. Only down side is that there is no space for Wudhu. You'll have to use the toilets yo make wudhu.
