I spent 4+ weeks training at Lamai Fitness. They provide great variety of classes, well-equipped facilities, and delicious balanced meals. But what truly made the difference were the coaches — their professional, personalized approach helped me improve my physique and build confidence. Huge thanks to: Andy – breathwork classes are a must, especially if focus and calm don’t come naturally. Baikey – mobility sessions saved my body during intense training, and the gentle motivation and professional advice helped me run my first 10k. Eve – always there to help with anything practical which saved me a headache. Love the sound healing as well. Also, you’ll always know when Eve and Baikey are around — their laughter fills the gym and creates the best atmosphere. What could improve : 30 min PT session is not enough. I assumed it’s 50 min. The food could have a bit more variety on weightless programme.

What a week! It was my first fitness retreat and definitely one best week in my life. I arrived with nothing much expected and left seven days later filled with power, positivity, and new perspectives. Lamai Fitness crew were professionals in this business, from organization / admin to the trainings quality. My own personal favorites were hyrox and upper body strengths. I rarely trained my upper body and never tried Hyrox before. Thanks to the new trainer who recently joined Lamai fitness, I’m so glad now I can go home with these new tricks to include in my 2026 training routine. He was really good in making the challenging classes fun, motivational, and inclusive despite huge differences in fitness levels among the participants. Not easy to do but he managed to make it work! HIIT and Tabata are GREAT. Though these two were my routines, the one-hour session brought it to another level! Never thought my body could do it but it did, repeatedly. Loved it! Box Fit. It gaves a flavor of Muay Thai. The instructors were super friendly and inclusive. I felt very uncomfortable when I first joined the class as I didn’t even know how to kick (!). The instructors taught me and showed me how to do the moves. I had fun :D although I had to admit that boxing wasn’t my thing. Oh well you never know until you try! Go check it out! I loved the meal plan. They all tasted very good especially given how healthy they are. I’d totally recommend it! Missing the chicken wrap already. I stayed at Crystal Lamai, an accommodation partner of Lamai Fitness. The room was clean and basic. Super close to Lamai Fitness and other amenities in the area which in my opinion is the most important. Stay close so you don’t have any excuse of missing a class or training.

We had a great time at Lamai fitness, there’s a wide range of classes to participate in, from Muay Thai and Hyrox to sound healing and yoga. All staff are friendly and welcoming, the coaches are supportive and very adaptable depending on your ability. The spa and massage place was lovely for recovery too. Overall a great set up and couldn’t have asked for much more, great value for money, would highly recommend.

I would like to share my personal experience from a one-month stay in the VIP Weight Loss program at Lamai Fitness Retreat in Thailand. I am 58 years old and have long-term spine issues and lower back pain that radiates into my leg. Because of previous experiences where exercise always resulted in pain the next day, I gradually avoided physical activity and eventually gave up on exercising altogether. I started the program with a shorter stay, which I extended step by step depending on how I felt. Honestly, I did not believe at all that I would be able to exercise regularly. Very quickly, however, I realized that this place is different. The trainers were patient, attentive, and respectful of my limitations. They taught me how to move safely, how to distinguish normal muscle soreness from real pain, and most importantly, they helped me trust my body again. At first, I kept saying “not possible,” later it became “I try” – and that was a huge shift for me. Gradually, my strength, calmness, and self-confidence returned. My fear of movement disappeared, and something happened that I truly did not expect – I actually started looking forward to exercising. The program is wonderfully varied – exercise sessions, breathing work, yoga, massages, and time to rest. The hotel pool is excellent, and I really appreciated that everything is close together, so between sessions you can swim, rest for a while, or go for a massage. The food was excellent – healthy, delicious, and varied, truly small works of art. Just one small suggestion: it would be nice to have more vegetables with the breakfast omelettes, as during a longer stay breakfast can feel repetitive. The facilities are overall very nice, though some not exercise areas could benefit from a bit of sproucing up. These are only small details that could further improve the overall impression. My heartfelt thanks go to Louise for her patience and constant support, Laura for her practical and sensitive approach, Eve for encouragement at exactly the right moments, and Lewis for his humor and positive energy, which made exercising a joy and last but not least to Pikey for well prepared lessons. I would also like to mention Bobo, whose smile can truly brighten your day. The great group of people was also very important to me – even though people came and went, the sense of support and connection always remained. I would especially recommend this program to women and older people who are afraid of movement or feel that it’s already too late. It’s not. For me, this experience was not just about exercise or weight loss, but about regaining trust in my own body.

I was looking for a place for a sporty vacation and found the Lamai Fitness Retreat. I came for two weeks and extended it to three. The trainers are extremely professional. Group workouts are challenging. Food at the Eats, delicious. I recommend it to everyone.
