GoogleThe staff are always awesome, the classes and people are unpretentious and friendly. Everyone is made to feel welcome regardless of fitness level or experience Every class I've attended is an absolute delight. But I feel I should warn people: THE ROOM IS NOT ACTUALLY GREEN. The walls are a beige colour. So, don't go in expecting a green room because you'll be disappointed. Otherwise everything else is wonderful.
I wanted to stick with Green Room for a long time - I loved the teachers I met and the classes I took. But unfortunately, I found if the class had more than 8 students, I was either modifying poses to avoid touching a classmate or just inevitably making body contact with someone as we shifted in the same direction. I don't mind proximity and community in class, but I don't really want to modify my own experience just to make sure I'm not making physical contact with a classmate.

When I decided to start yoga practice 6 years ago I wanted to find a relaxed and down to earth kind of studio. I looked for a studio in the neighborhood I used to live and knew that a studio there would be the one. From the first Green Room class I attended I knew I made the right choice. It was really the perfect place for me to begin this journey. I was in my late 50s and never done yoga before. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. Everyone from all the great expert instructors and friendly students made me feel at home and wanted to practice yoga. Whenever I can, I recommend yoga practice to all my acquaintances for physical and mental well-being. It’s perfect activity for all ages. Green Room offers longer class than other studios, its payment and class schedule is flexible and overall it is a very good value. GR classes are small so that instructors can give you lots of attention and can follow your progress. If you are looking for a yoga studio that’s clean, intimate, with lots of expert instructors and that make you feel like you are with friends try the Green Room yoga studio. You won’t be disappointed.
I've been going to Green Room Yoga for many years-and am still inspired, challenged and nourished every time I go. They offer a full schedule yoga (and a qigong class) for anyone wanting to begin or continue their yoga practice All the teachers are deeply skilled movement practitioners that create a safe, friendly space to practice. I'm always impressed with the level of detail they put into their classes, from the warm-up to the postures - they even take requests. The atmosphere in the studio is cheerful and welcoming, making it a wonderful place to practice. If you're looking for a great yoga studio in East Vancouver, the small but mighty Green Room Yoga is definitely worth checking out.
