A wonderful new yoga studio in a prime location. Beautiful facilities, friendly and welcoming staff. Easy parking out front and a great little coffee shop downstairs for when you’re finished. I checked this place out while visiting Ballarat and can highly recommend it. It’s a traditional yoga studio teaching an authentic practice. I really enjoyed my class and will be back for more. If you are looking for yoga you can’t go wrong checking this out.

I absolutely LOVED the Baby on Mat yoga class at Eastside Yoga. Shani, the instructor, is a ray of sunshine. The class was simple (anyone could do it, regardless of yoga experience) but provided a nice stretch with some moments of stillness and intentional breath work. I truly feel so relaxed and refreshed after participating 😌 During the class, anything goes for you and bubs. I had my baby in my arms, on my lap, on the ground. There’s a couch and kettle for feeding, plus some toys and blankets for your little ones. Plus Shani will literally come around and hold/rock/soothe your baby if you’d like her to (she’s a mum herself). The studio is brand new, modern, clean and calming. Such a lovely space to practice in. There is plenty of street parking out the front too. I highly recommend this class to all parents wanting some gentle movement!

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending both a workshop and the Sunday Yin class at East Side Yoga, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, everyone in the studio was genuinely welcoming — it’s clear this is a truly community-focused space that goes far beyond mere tokenistic labels. The Interrogating Yoga workshop, facilitated by Bess Prescott, was incredibly informative and created space for deep, thoughtful discussion among practitioners and teachers who are committed to critically engaging with the history of yoga. It was refreshing, nuanced, and held with real care. After the workshop, I returned for Sunday Yin with Shani. Her teaching was beautifully clear, spacious, and encouraging. She offered options throughout and invited everyone to honour their own body’s needs, something many modern classes often overlook. Thank you, Shani, Bess, and the whole East Side Yoga community. I’m grateful for the experience and hope to visit again soon.

If you're looking for a place to come as you are and regulate your nervous system, Eastside is the place to practice. I've been looking for a studio that feels authentic, safe and nurturing and I'm so grateful to have found Shani and her studio. I love the natural light that enters the space. I feel no pressure to move or be a certain way. It's rare that you find a place that makes you feel at home in your body. Thank you Shani and Eastside Yoga instructors!!!

The space is beautiful and welcoming, I attended the opening day with all the instructors and was fortunate enough to snag a spot and experience all the studio has to offer! Cass, Kate and Shani all were very comforting in the start of my yoga journey. I loved the addition the cards allowing or declining adjustments/assistance, the adjustments that Cass and Shani helped me connect with my body and poses. I will 100%be returning and dragging others along as often as possible. Bonus coffee on the ground floor with the runners prep gang and parking was easy with plenty of spaces across the road.
