GoogleI recently completed 200 hours yoga teacher training with Prem Ji and Mohit at Brahma Yoga, Bhagsu. They are both extremely knowledgeable. They ensured that I moved forward in yoga journey. Prem Ji taught us pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy. Mohit taught us a different styles of yoga. We learnt about aligning all the basic yoga asanas, as well as adjustments with props and stretches. Though the training was rigorous, there was a lot of flexibility to suit the needs of the students. Being a family run yoga centre, the atmosphere was extremely homely and friendly. I selected this place after doing a lot of research in the area and I was no disappointed. The food at the cafe is also healthy and delicious. It is one of the rare non-smoking areas, which was a big bonus for us. The family took excellent care of us, even when we went on group treks and trips. It was heart-warming to see them take responsibility of our safety while we there, especially considering there were several foreigners in the group. I would love to go back to this yoga center in order to continue and strengthen my yoga practice. A big thank you to the entire family for such a memorable experience.
I did my 300-hour teacher training at Brahma Yoga and it was a deeply enriching experience. I met incredible people who became like family, and the supportive, homely environment made the journey even more special. The training offered a beautiful mix of traditional and modern yoga styles, pranayama, and theory. The teachers were knowledgeable, insightful, and always willing to share their wisdom and experiences. I left the training feeling grounded, expanded, and more confident in my teaching. Grateful for the learning, growth, and community. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a holistic yoga journey.
Yoga studio with responsible and deeply committed attitude of teaching. Bright example of how family buisness can go sustainably and open-hearted to all customers. Mohit and Prem in their approach create a vibe of relaxation and concentration, when you can fully dive into the practice. I had an experience of 200 TTC on their lead and it really changed my view on yoga. Prem gives serious and detailed explanation of all pranayama and meditation techniques, based on his own experience and knowledge of other masters. From him I knew more, how practices improve different sides of daily life. Also he can help to fix body problems as yoga-therapist. Mohit is most passionate, attentive and patient teacher I had ever met. His approach towards students is completely individual. The class goes comfortable and interesting for people with different level, even when taught at the same time. He always asks about requests before practice and helps to improve the asanas during it. Shala itself has a strong energy and very peaceful aura. Despite classes it is also used for soundhealing sessions on one of which I was lucky to be present)) Anju, mother of the family takes care about accomodation and kitchen. Her cooking is super tasty, and thanks to her labours all the space is kept in cleanliness, order and beauty) Absolutely recommend this place for everybody who wants recovery their mind and body, staying in calm, cozy atmosphere)
I just finished a 200 hour yoga teacher training. This is an American in India perspective to give context... Pros: - Extremely caring and understanding teachers await you within Mohit and Prem. - They are incredibly open to ideas of how to enhance the experience for students to have the most beneficial course. - Mohit leads Asana classes to really help you focus on correct alignment. - Consistency of class was so helpful to open my body/discover new available range of movement and awareness of my body, and my relationship with the space around me. - The space is in an absolutely beautiful location. - The example of discipline was encouraging for me to stay focused and develop my own practice. - The heart centered friendships you get access to from investing in yourself in this course. Cons: (why I gave 4 stars) - Their English language is limited so to speak of anatomy and transitions between positions is something you must learn elsewhere, as of the time of this post. - The curriculum for our course was structured with many classes starting as: what questions do you have? I expected them to have every class organized with content for me to discover and learn from. It's important to do your own research in between classes about yoga and bring those questions if you come to a course like this. Ways to have a more enjoyable course: - Restrict your other responsibilities in life like work to be available for extra class opportunities. - Within the first week voice your concerns so that your teachers can work with you to align your expectations with what's possible. Thanks so much for a very insightful and invigorating yoga teacher training! ππ
My review of Brahma Yoga Family won't be based on solely intelectual analysis. From my humble experience it is a unique space and it requires a manual on how to approach it. In a nut shell its a perfect place for those who needs to retreat, recharge, transform. As well as initiate or deepen journey in practice of yoga. My advice, unless Family prepared a particular retreat program, use 100-200hrs to ground yourself within their arms. Once on arrival in India I was guided: "Mother India can open her treasures for you only when you open your heart". And this statement is 100% applicable in case of the process one might go through in this place. To drop expectation and judgment here is rewarding. It's a razor sharp mirror that is giving you back in reflection of what you give. Ether its a passion for yoga asana practice or thriving to get out of a shell, there will be always a hand reaching you with abundance of support and loving attention. Mohit's spiritual energy and quality to give it selflessly is a driving force within yoga shala. Prem ji is there to fix your alignment on many levels, to protect and guide out of a chaos back into light. Mama Anju ji's laugh as "morning cup of coffee" is a spark to ignite and sustain a perfect mood for the day. I wish in the future we could hear Harshit within shala too;) The energy of family members create beautiful living environment around them which for me became a life changing experience. Eternally grateful to all of you for passage and may your visions unfold with support of grace. We all need you strong, happy, together πππ
