I have practiced 20 years and in lots of studios and this one was by far one of the best classes I’ve ever attended. I was in the Ahana Flow with Dawn. The class was vigorous and traditional with ample opportunity for advanced poses. The vibe was just incredible. If I lived here, I would be there daily! If you’re visiting Miami and you love yoga, make sure you drop in!

Amazing place. As a former ClassPass user who explored Miami for 18 months before settling on a studio, I can confidently say that Ahana is the best in terms of instructors, knowledge of Yoga aside from just asanas, sense of community and culture and overall experience.

Went to my first ever yoga class here with my cousin who is local. Loved it! Dawn was an exceptional teacher. Loved the chanting and gongs. I found myself feeling pure joy and a sense of community. Hoping to find something like this back in Minnesota. Thank you for such a terrific experience!

YEAR LATER EDIT: Found my community here, and I’m now moving and very sad. Each teacher brings a special and unique energy to the class. Some days I like different things. A few months ago I got into Mysore ( with Patrick) after taking Friendly Half primary (with Nickole). It changed my perspective on yoga and discipline. I can’t recommend it enough. Below is a short brief on my experience with the teachers I’ve taken. That said, they have so much more to offer that I didn’t take. J just found my niche and stuck to it lol. Patrick is patient and caring and will push you. He will be the first to encourage you and if you’re willing to put in the effort you can guarantee he’ll give it back. Nickole is funny and dedicated. I’ve never seen her not ready to go. She always has a positive energy and is happy to further everyone’s practice. Other can’t miss teachers/ classes: Elissa, goes above and beyond to know and care about the people in her class. She reminds you to take a step back or encourages you to pus through to new ground. Only took a few classes with Brenna but she’s a sweetheart! And encouraged me to come back after my first or second class. I wish I had taken more classes with Berf but I can say I have practiced beside her more than 10-15 times in a year. See your teachers in practice is a good sign to me. Lastly, SUNDAY SERVICE. This won’t be for everyone. It’s for me. Look up kirtan or check their insta. It’s spiritual and it’s for you. Do what feels right. Dawn typically teaches the class that follows. She’s a take no crap boss lady. At first I was thrown by it. THEN- I saw the way she cared for the kids in the room (some hers some just families of community members), her team, her friends, and strangers. Her Ahana flow is FAST be prepared to sweat. I left ClassPass and joined Ahana. I recommend it to everyone I know and you too. If it isn’t working yet, keep coming back. Old: Great! Great! Great! Spiritual, physical, and mental experience. Best studio in Miami for a deeper connection beyond the asanas.
