Holiday schedule and Christmas party at Simhanada
25 November 2016
By Simhanada Ashtanga Yoga School, Melbourne
SUN, 11 DECEMBER
After savasana in the led class, all students (including beginners) are more than welcome to attend an informal discussion about all aspects of the practice. You can ask Eoin any question anything relating to the practice — from how the studio is run to how to managing your practice within your daily life. If you have a question, no matter how obscure you think it might be, don’t be afraid to ask. You don’t have to attend the led or Mysore classes on that day to come along to this Q and A session. Feel free to bring in a cup of chai while the session is running. You can also leave at any time.
WED, 14 DECEMBER
Studio will be closed for the full moon day.
FRI, 16 DECEMBER
IT'S PARTY TIME!!! Let’s get together for a meal in the studio kitchen from 6.00pm onward to celebrate the big year that’s been. Please bring a plate to share. As always, kids, parents, house elves, partners, significant others and awkward first dates welcome.
THU, 22 DECEMBER
The regular Thursday night sit will run only from 6 to 6.30pm. From 6.30pm onward, Eoin will give a talk on meditation technique. This will be particularly important for those attending the practice sessions over the Christmas period. You don’t need to come in exactly at 6.30pm; you can come and go as you like.
SUN 25, MON 26, TUE 27 DECEMBER
Instead of the normal timetable, Eoin will run a meditation session from 6.30am to 7.15am, followed by a 15-minute nauli/break. Then a led class will run from 7.30am. These classes are geared towards students who have a regular Mysore practice. You don’t need to attend both the meditation and the asana sessions. You can attend just one or the other.
