About

Bring about positive changes in your life with Yogasana Fitness. I teach a flowing style of yoga that links movement with the breath, allowing you to calm your mind and create a deeper connection with your body. My classes will build help you to build strength, increase flexibility and improve your stamina. Over time and with steady practice, the lessons you learn in class can be applied to other aspects of your life, thus improving your overall spirit and wellbeing.

I run several styles of classes at the Belconnen Arts Centre: (1) Vinyasa Flow for Power & Grace on Sundays 8-9am and Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-6:30, (2) Family Yoga on select Sundays 9-10am at BAC, and (3) Beginners Course on Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 and select Sundays 9-10am. I also offer special classes each term for Restorative Yoga and Partner Yoga as well as workshops from time to time to focus on technique and alignment. Descriptions of these classes can be found on the Classes page of the website:  yogasanafitness.com/classes.

Your first class is only $15. After which you may purchase a 10-class pass for $150, or pay the casual rate of $20/class. The pass can be used at all classes on offer and is valid for 3 months. A pass may be extended to 12 months for an additional $30. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the door, or you can pay in advance via the website. Bookings are required. Visit the yogasanafitness.com/classes for more details. If you take up the Yoga Habit Challenge you can also purchase a 10-class pass for $120. For more details, visit yogasanafitness.com/yoga-habit-challenge.

Classes are designed for beginners to advanced practitioners. Having said that, however, a certain level of fitness is required in order to participate fully. If you have any pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure, glaucoma, joint replacements, spinal injuries, recent surgeries, high-risk pregnancy, are heavily pregnant, or have recently given birth, you should consult a physician for advice before participating. Although yoga can be beneficial to people with these conditions, cautionary measures must be taken and this should be done on an individual basis, not in a group class such as this. Contact me directly if you would like for me to design a series of private classes for you.

Bring a yoga mat and two beach towels or yoga blankets with you to class. If you have yoga props such as blocks, bolsters, or belts, please bring them as well. You may wish to have a water bottle. Children over the age of 7 are allowed to attend class with their carers as long as they can behave in a mindful and mature manner, bearing in mind that this class is designed for adults, not children.

I am also available for private classes for individuals and groups. These classes can be designed to suit your goals. Whether you're looking to have a relaxing and meditative experience, or a fun high-energy class, at work or with friends, I can create a class to suit. I am also trained to offer classes for children and families.

On my website you will find videos and more on the Resources Page, along with articles in the Blog, and details on future Events.
