Megan Gilbert (Meherbani Kaur) – Dual Registered Yoga Teacher

I had the good fortune discover yoga in 2000 and I have been practising consistently since then. I began my yoga journey with Iyengar yoga and have since included Asthanga, Bikram, Power Vinyasa, Yoga with Weights, Kundalini and Alchemical yoga in my practise.

I am passionate about yoga, the natural environment, healthy living, local & organic food, sustainable living, authentic connection, and building communities of like-minded people. I believe that many of the issues facing our world today are due to a lack of any of the above.

In 2004 I undertook teacher training so I could share the many benefits of yoga with others. I completed the Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching at Nature Care college in Sydney in 2004 - 2005 and I have been teaching since then.

I discovered Kundalini yoga in 2011 and it had a profound effect on my life. In 2014 I completed teacher training in this powerful & transformative practise, becoming a certified Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher.

I am a registered Level 2 Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia and a Registered Level 1 Teacher with the Australian and New Zealand Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. I have a current first aid certificate.

I believe that Yoga is for everybody! In my classes I aim make yoga accessible for all in a comfortable and non-judgemental environment. There is no wrong or right, just where you are in the moment and the most appropriate expression of the pose for you.

Yoga is an energetic practise, just as life is, a way of transforming energetic vibrations into physical manifestation. We work on all levels of being - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual - to move through any blocks or remove any patterns that no longer serve us. Over time this transformative practise changes lives from the inside out, fostering inner peace and acceptance whilst manifesting dreams.

My classes are inspired by all of the styles of yoga that I practise and have a strong focus on breath and mindfulness. I teach Kundalini Yoga, Vinyasa, Iron Yoga, Prenatal, Mums & Bubs, Baby-wearing and Kids yoga. These styles were covered in my teacher trainings and I have since honed my skills using my own practise, my experiences with my own family and further trainings. I have a continuing love of all things yoga and regularly attend training courses and workshops to deepen my knowledge and personal practise.

Since graduation I have taught yoga classes in Sydney and the Eurobodalla (Far South Coast of NSW). I am now living and teaching yoga in beautiful Thirroul, in the Illawarra. Private classes are avaliable.
