The yoga space offered a great experience for me and my partner doing puppy yoga together. The environment was calm and peaceful, the staff members were warm and welcoming, making our experience so beautiful! They also have other yoga class options that look amazing. Would love to join the session again. Recommended to everyone!

Ari has created such a beautiful, safe, inclusive space. Every single teacher has a unique, accommodating and encouraging style - I have really enjoyed the variety in the classes and have noticed so many positive changes in my physical body and mental health in these past few months at The Yoga Space. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone, at any stage of their yoga journey.

An incredible studio, filled with such a sense of community and welcoming. I have been practicing at The Yoga Space Melbourne for two years, and love that every single teacher brings genuine love for yoga and teaching, as well as their experience, to each class. This studio is committed to welcoming all to yoga, and also has a diverse range of teachers and class styles. Can’t recommend highly enough.

I’ve been going to The Yoga Space in Balaclava for three months now, and let me tell you, it’s been mostly great—with a few quirks. First off, the studio itself is lovely. It’s on the ground floor, dedicated entirely to yoga, and there’s plenty of room to stretch out without accidentally slapping your neighbor during Warrior II. Most of the teachers are fantastic, and the yin classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings are pure bliss. Now for the quirks. The Tuesday and Thursday night classes? They feel like déjà vu—same moves, same flow, every week. And the Wednesday afternoon class, advertised as a session with no downward dogs? Guess what’s always on the menu? Downward dogs. It’s like ordering a veggie burger and getting a steak. Then there’s the pricing structure. If you pay week-to-week, it’s $41. But if you commit to a three-month membership, it’s… $40 a week. Wow, a whole dollar saved! I mean, what a deal, right? Their online portal via MindBody is another adventure. It’s not exactly user-friendly, and it doesn’t make it obvious that they’re a yoga studio in the area. Honestly, I only found them because I happened to walk past. If their presence on MindBody or Google was clearer, I probably would’ve joined much earlier—and maybe saved that extra dollar per week! Oh, and communication? Let’s just say it’s not their strong suit. They’ll post giveaways on social media but won’t tell you how to enter. When you ask, you get a response so short and abrupt, you wonder if you accidentally offended them. And during the public holiday season, classes were canceled left and right with no emails, no social media updates, no nothing. It was like a game of yoga roulette. All that said, the teaching is solid, the studio vibe is great, and I really enjoy my time there. So, I’d still give them 4 out of 5 stars. They just need to tighten up their communication, rethink the pricing incentives, and get their online presence in order. Until then, I’ll keep coming back for the yin classes—and dodging downward dogs when I can!
