While it is important that we care for our bodies and keep them strong, flexible and healthy, the practice of yoga reveals deeper layers of the self so that we can explore a more meaningful and mindful journey through life. Practicing yoga asana certainly develops strength and power physically but with that comes a greater sense of peace, harmony, and engagement with the world at large, as well as in our inner lives. Yoga Therapy / Private Yoga Sessions
Yoga therapy is a holistic approach to healing.
There is no doubt that the practice of yoga is beneficial for all - it is self care practice that encourages health and balance. However, the modern day expression of yoga is generally that of attending a group classes, which instruction necessarily serves the needs of the group as a whole.

If this is the case, you might like to consider yoga therapy as an alternative where the emphasis is on a practice that is specifically tailored to meet your needs and the condition you wish to improve.
Rather than just treating the specific health concern, yoga therapy considers the whole person - who they are and how they are affected. Programs may vary between people, even if they are experiencing the same or similar issue. This is dependant on many factors - symptoms, age, physical limitations, lifestyle, etc.
