Nestled in Bali, Indonesia, Embodied Flow – The Living Art Of Yoga is a school and global community built around a distinctive methodology that draws together hatha yoga, somatics, tantric philosophy, movement meditation, and transpersonal psychology. Founded in 2014 by lead teacher Tara Judelle, who relocated to Bali in 2010 after years of facilitating yoga experiences internationally, the school has grown into a recognised training ground with over 70 certified facilitators and graduates practicing in more than 50 countries.
What sets Embodied Flow apart is its depth of integration. Rather than treating yoga as a purely physical practice, the methodology centres on somatic intelligence — the body's own capacity to guide, teach, and open awareness. Drawing on Body-Mind Centering®, free movement, self-inquiry, Internal Family Systems™, and the non-dual traditions of Tantra, the approach cultivates what the school describes as meditation in action. The result is a practice that is simultaneously rooted in classical yoga tradition and genuinely expansive, inviting students to move beyond asana into a fuller experience of consciousness and embodied presence.
Tara Judelle brings to this work more than thirty years of exploration across dance, Tai Chi, movement improvisation, theater, and yoga, alongside academic training in language and theater directing. Her facilitation weaves philosophical rigour with playfulness, creating an environment where transformation feels both accessible and authentic. Alumni consistently describe the training as one that deepens not only their yoga practice but their capacity for self-awareness, connection, and presence. Teacher training programs, immersions, retreats, and workshops form the core of the school's offerings, with an online portal extending access to students unable to attend in person in Bali.
The community that has gathered around Embodied Flow reflects its ethos — diverse, globally distributed, and united by a shared interest in what yoga can be when practiced with genuine curiosity and somatic awareness. For practitioners looking to explore yoga as a living, breathing inquiry into the nature of self rather than a fixed set of postures, Embodied Flow offers a thoughtfully constructed and well-established space in which to do exactly that.
