The heart of the property is its open-air Yoga Shala, a 65-square-metre wooden structure nestled among bamboo trees. The space can accommodate up to 23 yoga mats for floor-based practice or 15 practitioners for aerial yoga, making it well-suited to a range of movement disciplines. Additional meditation spots and upper deck areas extend the practice space beyond the main shala, allowing guests to connect with the surrounding environment throughout their stay. With 11 rooms sleeping up to 22 guests and 11 bathrooms, Basundari is designed to host small residential retreats in a close-knit, communal setting.

The venue is built with recycled wood and upcycled furniture, reflecting a genuine eco-conscious ethos that runs through all aspects of the space. The venue also has capacity for special events including weddings. Since hosting its first retreat in August 2022, it has attracted facilitators from across the world, with past organizers travelling from Denmark and Japan to run programs here.
