Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center

About

Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center (AYMC) is a dedicated yoga and meditation space rooted in the ancient teachings of non-dual Shaiva Tantra, with two locations across Bali — one nestled in the lush cultural heart of Ubud, and another along the coastal clifftops of Uluwatu. Rather than offering a generic yoga experience, the center is built around a clear philosophy: that a meaningful spiritual life is nurtured through study (adhyayana), practice (sādhanā), and community (kula). These three pillars shape everything from the daily class schedule to the longer-format teacher training programs.

The center's regular classes are organized around the five elements — Earth, Air, Water, Ether, and Fire — as well as a Krama format, reflecting a thoughtful, structured approach to yoga that goes well beyond physical postures. Each class style draws on philosophy, alignment, and embodied practice, making the AYMC a strong fit for students who want depth alongside movement. The center is a Registered Yoga Alliance School, and offers both 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings. These programs blend alignment principles, meditation, and elemental philosophy into what the center calls Alchemy Yoga — a practice designed to bridge traditional wisdom with the realities of contemporary life, providing tools that extend far beyond the mat.

The atmosphere at AYMC reflects a genuine commitment to sustainability and community. The center uses sustainable building materials and maintains a permaculture food forest that supplies organic produce to the nearby Alchemy Restaurant. This connection to the land and to local Balinese culture gives the space a grounded, intentional quality that distinguishes it from more commercially oriented yoga venues. The team actively works with the surrounding community, aiming to have a positive impact on the people and culture of what they affectionately call the Island of the Gods.

For practitioners looking for a place to go deeper — whether through a single class, an immersive teacher training, or ongoing community involvement — AYMC's dual presence in Ubud and Uluwatu makes it one of the more thoughtfully constructed yoga centers in Bali. It is a space that takes its tradition seriously while remaining genuinely welcoming to the modern practitioner.
