in Acton, ACT organised by Mathew Long- Yantra Yoga teacher
An open level weekend course designed to introduce Yantra Yoga and to impart sufficient instruction to enable a student to establish a practice or to complement a current practice with new and profound methods. Participants can expect to gain a working understanding of a considerable part of the Yantra Yoga system, and to experience first-hand some of its benefits in relation to health, vitality, overall fitness and relaxation. Participants will also be supported in their wish to continue to learn and practice by ongoing classes in Canberra.
The weekend course is a complete package providing a total foundation for the Yantra Yoga system.
Yantra Yoga’s unique series of positions and movements, combined with conscious breathing, can help coordinate and harmonise one’s personal energy so that the mind can relax and find its authentic balance. Many positions used in Yantra Yoga are similar to those of other Yoga systems, but the way to assume and apply them differs significantly.
Yantra Yoga is one of the oldest recorded systems of yoga in the world. It has come to us by way of Tibet, a land that holds a vast and rich cultural heritage.
Synchronising every movement with conscious breathing we find ourselves in a perfectly relaxed state. Each yoga sequence performed in Yantra Yoga aims to guide the breath into a natural harmony with the mind and body.
