I am terribly sorry but due to the death of a close family member I am not teaching this Intensive. THIS WEEKEND IS CANCELED. Please stay tuned for announcement of other Yantra Yoga dates in Canberra and S. E. Australia. Very sorry for anyone inconvenienced. People who have paid for registration will be contacted personally and offered the option of either refund or transferral of registration to another Intensive date. Mathew Long.
Two 4hr sessions over one weekend, Saturday & Sunday, to introduce Yantra Yoga or to deepen a student’s practice, focusing on the Eight Movements to harmonise and strengthen our energies (purify the prana).
Participants can expect to gain or deepen a practical understanding of this significant part of the Yantra Yoga system, and to experience first-hand some of its benefits in relation to health, vitality, overall fitness and relaxation.
This short-course can be undertaken as a stand-alone or as a modular part of a complete program of Yantra Yoga.
Yantra Yoga’s unique series of positions and movements, combined with conscious breathing, can help coordinate and harmonise one’s personal energy so that the mind can relax and find its authentic balance.
One of the most ancient recorded systems of yoga in the world, Yantra Yoga was first taught in Tibet in the eighth century. It has been preserved in its unadulterated form to this day, and as an excellent method for attaining optimal health and relaxation is just as relevant for the contemporary world. Emphasising the coordination of breath and movement, Yantra Yoga helps us learn meditation through experience.
