Masterclass #1 Foundations

In our yoga practice, we organize our experience of the asanas in a very unique personal way that includes reference to the physical, emotional and mental sheaths of the body - we practice using our own postural, movement, and mental habits. This first masterclass will show you how mindfulness can help you self study and unveil those habits so you can access higher levels of consciousness and therefore a richer asana experience.

In this class we will examine your body consciousness and presence and explore how to develop techniques that allow relaxation of your superficial muscles without loosing strength in your postural muscles.

Masterclass #2 Inversions

In the Inversion class you experience acutely how your mental and physical habits travel with you. How insecurity and tension influence your practice. Technique, alignment and form are the anchors, not only for our mind space but also to grant us freedom in movement. The subtle balance created through strengthening and aligning the deep postural muscles of the shoulder neck and spine is unique in inversion. To access this level one must learn to be spacious and relaxed. Experience the alertness in Sirsasana (Head stand), the more tranquil state in sarvangasana (Shoulder stand) and the intense awareness in Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Hand stand).
