Description

Based at the Broulee Yoga Shed on the south coast of NSW, this two day women only retreat will focus on nurturing your whole self, body and soul, through yoga and holistic personal development workshops.

Retreat facilitators

 

Catherine Potter

 

Catherine will lead ten hours of physical and contemplative yoga instruction and guidance during the retreat.

 

Catherine is a qualified, experienced yoga teacher and retreat facilitator.  She runs the Broulee Yoga Shed on the NSW south coast where she teaches yoga classes, private yoga sessions and yoga eco retreats.  Catherine first started yoga some 40 years ago and has been teaching since 2007.  She loves to share the holistic physical, mental, emotional, philosophical and spiritual wonders and benefits of yoga with others.

 

Catherine’s yoga draws on many influences and incorporates conscious breathing, energetics, inner focus, fluidity, flexibility, stretching, strength, active postures, restorative postures, flowing sequences, guided relaxations and meditations, nature and earthing, spirit, silence, stillness and wellbeing.

 

Catherine has a Degree in Ecology and a Masters in Leadership.  She spent many years working in nature conservation, environmental management and Indigenous affairs.   She is also a civil marriage celebrant.

Deral Weir

 

Deral will lead ten hours of nurture your soul personal development workshops during the retreat.

 

Deral is passionate about helping women make peace within themselves to be able to make the necessary changes to lead healthy, happy and fulfilling lives.  She is a certified Heal Your Life facilitator and founder of Radiant Soul Studio.

 

Like most people Deral has had many trials and tribulations, all of which she lovingly embraces knowing she would not be the woman she is today had she not have been through them. For many years she struggled accepting herself in the present moment and was always longing for a sense of inner peace. She found that peace after hitting rock bottom in 2009.

 

Through applying Louise Hay’s philosophies she has turned her life around and fostered a successful business around her passion for dance.  Every day she moves closer to living her bliss by nurturing and loving herself.  This is what she wants for every woman! 

 

Deral is also the owner manager of Studio 9 Fitness in NSW and instructs fitness, zumba, yoga, dance and cheer-leading.  Deral’s own personal philosophy is, once you have your mind and spirit healthy, it’s a natural progression for the body to follow.

Nurture your soul workshops

Health and wellness must come from within.  Improve the quality of your spirit and all other aspects of your life will improve.  So how do you improve the quality of your spirit and soul?  By nurturing yourself!  
As women, we nurture and love everyone around us and deny the most important person in our life the love and attention we need.  No one else can do this for us.  Only we can make ourselves truly happy and fulfilled.

 

Through facilitated personal development workshops based on Louise Hay’s Heal Your Life teachings, learn how to fill your own bucket first and flourish into the best possible version of you by: 

·         understanding behavioural patterns that sabotage your efforts to gain health and vitality, happiness and inner peace

·         recognising and releasing negative emotions that block your path to true contentment

·         acknowledging the reasons why you’re not living your bliss

·         finding how to make more time for you without feeling guilty 

·         discovering how to use affirmations to bring about positive changes.

 

The workshops will also include developing an action plan to live your bliss and creating a vision board for your future life.


 

Who is the retreat for?

The retreat is for women with an interest in their own health and wellness, with a desire to nurture their body and soul through yoga and transformational personal development workshops.   It’s for those who need some time out to relax away from their busy lives, to find some inner peace and learn new ways to nurture themselves.

 

It’s for those who wish to spend time in a beautiful natural place, walking on the sand, watching the sunrise over the ocean, breathing the fresh air, relaxing on the beach or swimming in the sea. 

 

It’s for those who attend regular yoga classes but would like to have more time to explore more deeply what yoga is about, including the philosophy and teachings of yoga, and to engage more intensively in a range of yoga practices such as breath connection, energising, active and restorative postures, and guided relaxations and meditations. 

 

But you don’t have to have done yoga before - beginners are welcome.   We do physical practices so you need a basic level of physical ability but you won’t be expected to do yoga gymnastics.   We work on the philosophy that “if you can breathe you can do yoga”.   It’s all about finding your own yoga that’s right for you – your own body-mind-breath-spirit-soul connection, your own practices for direct participation in your whole life.
