Location and venue

Located on the NSW South Coast just near Mystery Bay village and 10 km south of the coastal town of Narooma, it’s only a three hour drive from Canberra and five hours south of Sydney. This is truly a retreat far from the madding crowd.

The retreat is based at Corunna Farm, a beautiful secluded private property adjoining Corunna Lake and Eurobodalla National Park. This stunning coastal location is surrounded by beaches and headlands, and is in the lee of Gulaga, the local Aboriginal Yuin people’s Mother Mountain. This is a very special yoga spirit earth retreat place.

The venue is a purpose built yoga retreat centre, with a variety of beautiful yurt style buildings, a free-standing light-filled yoga studio yurt, a function centre and a big main house for our exclusive use. The property also includes twelve individual yurt cabins, large communal dining room and lounge room, and fantastic verandah with views to the lake.

Yoga is a dance, a play, between body, nature, breath and spirit, earth and sky. Practising yoga in nature takes us deeper into connection with the wild elements of earth, water, sky, air, sun and ether. We connect our energetic bodies to the elements through connection with prana or chi, the universal life force vital energy.

The retreat includes deep ecology and re-earthing activities in nature to facilitate an experiential reconnection to the earth, the elements, spirit, soul and self. Deep ecology is a philosophy of nature that emphasises our connection to and interdependence with the earth, that we are of the earth and not separate from it, made of the very stuff as the trees, the rivers and the whole cosmos. This view aligns with the yogic philosophy that we are one with and interconnected with all creation and the divine universe.

Fresh local food Six healthy gourmet meals focusing on use of fresh local produce are provided over the weekend – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Teas and coffee available at any time. We cater for all diets including vegan and gluten free. Past participants have rated the delicious food as one of the highlights of the retreats. Along with the sunrise yoga.
