At Manly Yoga we won't throw you in the deep end and expect you to keep up with more experienced students.
Instead, we've designed a series of beginners courses to guide you through the practices one step at a time.
Our five-week Beginners Yoga Level 1 Course systematically covers the foundations of a balanced yoga practice in a non-competitive environment in classes small enough to provide the personal attention you deserve. (8-15 participants).
As you work through the postures (asana) you’ll build strength, flexibility and confidence in your body and your mind.
By the end of the course you will:
• Understand the four aspects of a yoga class, postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation
• Have increased strength and flexibility through practice of various asana including standing postures, forward bends, backward bends, twists and balances
• Know the modified Sun Salutation series
• Have the confidence and skills to take your practice to the next level
