Farm Weekend 'Gracious Goodness'
We sometimes forget to tune in with nature and get our hands dirty. But it's the simplest way to become grounded.
Join like-minded people planting, caring for, harvesting, and eating pure food.
· Hands-on organic farming experience
· Gain insight into karma yoga, the yoga of mindful action
· Observe the importance of farm and kitchen to community
· Take in yoga classes and other ashram activities as you like
We spend both Saturday and Sunday mornings at the farm, weather permitting.
The afternoons are free for you to join the daily programs and enjoy the atmosphere and natural surroundings. The bookshop will also be open.
If you have visited the farm in the past, you may be surprised how it has grown. We regularly provide over half of the ashram's requirements! We also have a flock of splendid hens laying eggs.
All Welcome. Both gentle and hard yakka tasks are available to suit your energy levels. Please bring practical working clothes, particularly footwear. While we do have gloves and some hats, it is appreciated if you can bring your own.
Children are welcome, but they will not be babysat. They are the responsibility of their carer at all times, and carers are expected to contribute to the needs of the day.
Please be aware that this weekend requires physical farm work to help us maintain the food supply. If you leave early or are unable to fully participate then Personal Retreat Fees will be charged.
In the hotter Summer months the timetable changes and we leave for the Farm at 6am on both days, and return earlier than lunch to rest.
'A fantastic, relaxing weekend to get back in touch with nature and yourself and meet a lovely group of people.' Alison L
