Meditation: 4 week introductory course

 

Come along and learn the art of relaxation and the benefits of a regular Meditation practice.

This short course introduces you to Concentrative Meditation and shows you how to slow down, tame and discipline the mind through relaxation techniques, focused activities and guided journeys.

Through this meditation course we hope to relax, rejuvenate and inspire you.

This 4-week course includes:

Session 1

Physical: Introduces different types of Meditation practice with emphasis on Concentrative Meditation

Teaches you the physiological benefits and physical effects of Meditation

Journaling - for Stress Management

Guided Meditation - Create Your Inner Sanctuary

Session 2

Mindset:  Breath & relaxation - counting techniques (for calm & clarity)

Affirmations & talk therapy to change negative mindset

Journaling - for Gratitude

Guided Meditation - This House of Mind

Session 3

Emotions:  Breath & relaxation - nostril breathing (for balance in life)

Music & mantras to uplift depression and calm anxiety

Journaling - for Emotional Therapy

Guided Meditation - Let It Go

Session 4 

Inner Life:  Breath & relaxation - chair yoga techniques (to release tension)

Conscious living - explore your senses through conscious eating, aromatherapy & tactile exercises

Journaling - for Creativity, Imagination & Intuition

Guided Meditation - Waterfall of Light

COURSE DETAILS:

Dates: Four consecutive Fridays, starting 1st February 2013 (1st Feb, 8th feb, 15th Feb & 22nd Feb)

Times: 8.00pm-9.30pm

Cost: $110. Bookings close 25th January 2013. Places confirmed once full payment is made.
