Description

MEET ON THE MAT; SHOW UP ON THE PAGE.

Sally Riddell, of Ruby 9 Yoga, and Liana Joy Christensen, writer and poet, invite you to honour the interplay between darkness and light, midway through the winter season.

Liana is a writer, poet and teacher with a special interest in the magic of mythology and the cycles of nature. She will offer you a series of simple writing exercises as a gentle invitation to play. Guidance and encouragement will be offered as participants venture into a deeper, more sustained writing practice.

Sally is a yoga teacher and yoga therapist with a passion for chant and the symbolism associated with stories. She will teach you a number of experiential yoga practices that will guide you from the gross to the subtle, linking your body, heart and spirit with the concept of moving from darkness to light.

Schedule / Itinerary

Meet at 9.30am Saturday at Nathaneal's Rest

10am yoga and writing activies begin.

Invoking the story of Persephone we look at the concept of darkness.

These continue throughout the day with breaks for morning and afternoon tea, lunch and dinner.

On Sunday we begin with an early morning yoga practice which is optional.

And then continue throughout the day with writing and yoga practices.

Again invoking the story of Persephone we persue the concept of light.

Our weekend concludes at 4pm on Sunday
