A hectic lifestyle needs to be balanced with a great self-care routine if we want to remain in our 'thriving zone'. One way to balance our nervous system is to concentrate on stretches that take the body out of fight/flight mode. Find a quiet place for your practice and focus on stretches where you are closing the spine down and softening your emotions in your body. Examples include downward dog, child's pose, standing/seated forward bend or curling into a ball and observing your breath.
