The first week of our two week intensive introduces the core asana series, including Muktasana, bujangasana, plankasana, and trikonasana. THis module is designed to liberate rigid approaches and attitudes, and assiting students towards a deeper understanding of their bodies and their yoga practice.
The second week introduces the standing pose flow, a comprehensive standing pose sequence, introducing veravidrasana 1 and 2, forward bends and standing balances. As we move from one asana to the next we generate focus strenght and clarity, and begin to embody the flow.
8am start daily, beginning the day with Tea Mckernan teaching the sequence of the week. Throughout 8 hrs of the day, you will combine theory practice with practical hands on learning as you become familiar with both teaching and practicing the sequences. The history of yoga and the vinyasa lineage is also discussed in the theory component of the course. At the end of the 28 days a pracical test will be undertaken by the student to show technical proficiency. Homework/essays are also assigned as part of course work, and an A and P online course is also required to be completed.
