Mindfulness has been gathering much attention over recent years as a tried-and-tested method of reducing stress and anxiety. Meditation helps you focus your attention on the present moment and not get swept up in worrying or negative thoughts about the past or future.
Research shows that a regular practice can help you to cope better with pressure and recognise the thoughts and judgements that often cause stress, this leads to greater balance and a sense of calm.
Our 2-hour workshop includes:
- Short talk on mindfulness and the latest research on the topic
- A moving meditation yoga class
- A taster of mindfulness techniques that you can take home and cultivate your own home practice
- Take home hand-outs
