This community class is designed to meet the unique needs of women going through diagnosis, treatment or recovery from cancer. Your specially trained teacher will help you to adapt the practices of yoga to support you during your journey with cancer. You'll learn simple, effective techniques that you can practice at home, including gentle yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation practices.
During this class you will:
Learn gentle postures to support your physical body
Enjoy carefully designed poses that will gently increase your strength and mobility
Learn to connect with your breathing for relaxation and wellbeing
Learn a simple meditation practice to bring calm and balance
Connect with other yoga practitioners in a positive and supportive environment
The class is free of charge, but we will accept donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with whom we are partnering as part of our10th birthday celebrations in 2013. Bookings are essential as classes are limited to six students.Your Teacher
Your teacher will be a highly qualified and experienced member of the Adore Yoga team who has undergone specialist training to adapt yoga to meet the needs of students with cancer. This class is exclusively for women and will always be taught by a female teacher.
