Description

The wild and remote Pilgrimage to Asia’s most sacred mountain in Western Tibet is a journey of a lifetime. Mount Kailas [6714m.] stands off the main chain of the Himalayan Mountains and is a jewel of a mountain surrounded by lakes, high snowy mountain peaks and high altitude deserts. The mountain is a spiritual power place to pilgrims of four religions.

The high rounded ice dome of Kailas is the throne of gods and the seventh chakra of the earth, a place where the divine takes earthly form. It is the home of the Hindu Gods, Shiva and Parvati, and is the mythical Mt. Meru, the axis of the earth. Its energy for the Buddhists and Hindus alike, culminates in compassion, balance and the highest spiritual aspiration. The four great rivers of Asia radiate from Mt. Kailas, the Indus, Sutlej, Karnali and the Brahmatputra, each spiralling from the heights of the Kailas area to the plains below.
