If you're passionate about yoga and want to learn more or you can see yourself standing at the front of the yoga room teaching a class, our yoga education programs are the perfect ways to deepen your knowledge and personal relationship with yoga.

Delivered part -time over 12 months, our programs offer comprehensive training training in yogic practices, philosophy, lifestyle and yoga teaching. Just like a yoga class, completing one of our yoga education programs is all about starting from where you are, learning as yo go and most importantly enjoying the journey.

You don’t need to be fit or flexible to undertake the program, the only prerequisite is you MUST love yoga!

Overview: The program has been designed for yoga lovers ready to take the next step and become a yoga teacher. The program includes comprehensive training in yogic practice, philosophy and lifestyle, a detailed module on the study of human anatomy and physiology and a comprehensive yoga teaching module where you will develop the skills required to be a successful and confident Yoga Teacher.

The program has been designed as a 12 month intensive yoga teacher training program, delivered part time. At the conclusion of the program graduates will be a certified Yoga Teacher and will be able to teach yoga in Australia and Internationally.

In the program you will learn the following:

  • History & Philosophy of yoga
  • Ayurveda (the yogi diet)
  • Sanskrit (the language of yoga)
  • Study the Yoga Sutras of Patanajali (the basis of yogis thought)
  • Asana (postures) Forward bends, Back bends, Side Bending,Twists, Inversions
  • Pranayama (breathing practices)
  • Mudra (hand gestures)
  • Bandha (physical and energetic body locks)
  • Meditation (observation of the mind)
  • The Chakra System (7 energetic centres in the body)
  • The study and practical application of Human Anatomy & Physiology to yogic practice
  • Understand the effect of yogic practice on human physiology
  • Yoga Class Sequencing
  • The Principles of Yoga Teaching and class Facilitation
  • The Ethics of Yoga Teaching
  • The Business of Teaching Yoga
