The Yoga of Birth is a comprehensive training weekend for yoga teachers, which offers the skills to teach pregnant women nurturing and informative pre-natal yoga classes. The weekend is practical in nature and we spend significant time considering the process and journey of pregnancy and labour and how this can best be supported as well as looking at suitable asana and class planning. You will receive a copy of Katie’s book “The Yoga of Birth”. Much of the course material is based on this book. You will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the weekend, and the course is worth 10 CPD points. Both days must be attended.
Katie Manitsas was the director of Jivamukti Yoga Sydney (formerly Samadhi Yoga) for many years but has now handed over to advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher Doug Whittaker, so that she can focus on her young family, her passion for activism and her studies. Katie also studied extensively with the Wise Earth School of Ayurveda under the guidance of Mother Maya, as well as being a qualified Kundalini Yoga teacher. She completed training as a doula (birthing companion) in 2009.
