Sukha Mukha Yoga has one of the most well regarded and comprehensive Yoga Teacher Training courses in Australia, now in its thirtenth year with graduates teaching all over the world. The course was originally developed by Katie Manitsas with the help of her teacher Simon Low (The Yoga Academy, UK) and has been inspired by Donna Farhi (NZ), and Sharon Gannon and David Life (Jivamukti Yoga, NYC).
Over the past ten years Idit Hefer Tamir, founder of Sukha Mukha Yoga, has become an integral part of the teacher training program and alongside Katie Manitsas, has continued to develop and fine-tune its content, giving students one of the most thorough groundings in the practical and theoretical aspects of yoga in Australia today.
The training is designed to comprehensively explore the philosophy and physiology of yoga as well as the practical aspects of teaching asana, pranayama and meditation. The course is deliberately eclectic in nature giving students a broad understanding of the many different schools and aspects of yoga practice. Students from all yogic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Sukha Mukha’s Yoga Teacher Training has over 300 hours of training, allowing greater depth of knowledge and practical application for students to feel confident to take the next steps towards becoming an inspiring teacher.
