These days in the west we equate yoga with the third limb called yoga asana. A lot of people tend to focus on the physical aspect of the practice and as a starting step that is okay and logical. Asana tends to be the most accessible and once the body has been purified with consistent asana practice the other limbs can start to open up more naturally.
Physical practice isn't less superior than the non-physical or the other way around...they all are important which is why the great sage, Patanjali, shared thousands of years ago "The Eight Limbs of Yoga," as a road map that human beings can take to transform ourselves and the world around us, tapping into one's fullest potential.
Come to learn how you can apply these 8 limbs of yoga to YOUR daily life both on - and off the mat!
